Step into the spotlight at the Hip-Hop Dance Competition of Araw ng Lagao 2026 and let your crew’s rhythm, swag, and attitude speak louder than words.

Guidelines and Mechanics:
• Each group must have eight (8) to fifteen (15) members.
• At least three (3) members must be residents of Barangay Lagao (please bring a voter's ID/certificate. If not available, a valid ID with visible barangay address as proof upon filing the entry form is considere).
• Only five (5) slots are available for the finals.
• Audition video entries must be sent via the official page, indicating the group name.
• Performance time must be four (4) to six (6) minutes, inclusive of entrance and exit.
• Music must strictly follow the allotted time and must not fall short of or exceed the time limit.
• A one (1)-point deduction per judge shall be imposed for every thirty (30) seconds of excess performance time.
• Music is open to any genre of choice.
• The use of props is allowed, except those that may cause harm, such as fire and pyrotechnics.
• Costumes are at the group’s discretion; however, suggestive and lewd attire is strictly discouraged.
• The use of dangerous stunts, such as double back-tucks and tossing, is strictly prohibited.
• Music files must be submitted three (3) days prior to the competition date.

Criteria for judging:
• Performance - 35%
(Mastery, Synchronization, & ex*****on)
• Creativity and Choreography - 30%
• Power, Energy, & Endurance - 25%
• Costume and props - 10%
Total - 100%

On May 24, young leaders and volunteers will gather at the Sarif Mucsin Mangrove Sanctuary in Barangay Baluan for the “Trees for Peace: Adopt a Mangrove Area” initiative — a collective move to champion environmental protection and coastal preservation.

Led by the Supreme Student Council of Mindanao State University and supported by partner organizations, the activity will bring together over 70 volunteers from SK GenSan, SK Dadiangas North, Rotaract Club of Dadiangas, FPOP Kabataang SOX, Kidlikasan, and Huriso. Together, we aim to plant and nurture around 300 mangrove seedlings 🌱

Let’s grow peace one seedling at a time. 💚
