𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀, 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀: 𝗣𝗡𝗔 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲

Following the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that left households and properties moderately to severely damaged, PNA General Santos City Chapter stepped forward to bring hope, relief, and comfort to those who care for others every single day.

We are deeply heartened to share the successful distribution of calamity assistance—both in monetary aid and assorted goods—to 35 nurses right here in General Santos City who were directly affected by the disaster. Even as they face personal hardships, our courageous nurses remain pillars of strength for our community.

This initiative wouldn't have been possible without the unwavering dedication and compassionate leadership of Jules Alexis B. Dajay – PNA Gensan Chapter President and Leilani M. Manojo – Board of Directors. Through their tireless efforts, alongside the entire PNA Gensan team, we are reminded that no nurse walks alone, especially in the aftermath of a crisis.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲

The event was a Panel of Discussion composed of the ICN President, Dr. José Luis Cobos Serrano joined Dr. T. Dileep Kumar, President of the Indian Nursing Council and ICN Board Member, and other global experts to discuss the future of health care. The discussion highlighted that the future of nursing is not about choosing between technology and humanity.

Dr. Cobos highlighted that technology should empower nurses, not replace them. Reflecting on the COVID19 pandemic, he noted how nurses rapidly adapted to new challenges, demonstrating their capacity to lead change when given the right support, education and trust.

He also emphasized the importance of lifelong learning and highlighted the ICN Learning Hub as a resource to help nurses develop the skills needed to thrive in an increasingly digital healthcare landscape.

Trust, invest in and empower nurses.

The future of nursing is both 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 and 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵.

In a continuous commitment to uplift underserved communities, the Philippine Nurses Association - General Santos City Chapter (PNA-GenSan) recently served a 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 at Brgy. Balangonan, Jose Abad Santos, Davao Occidental.

This impactful endeavor was made possible through a strong collaborative partnership with 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐬 and in close coordination with the 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐬.

Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) - GenSan Chapter had the privilege of joining forces with Brokenshire College Soccsksargen Inc. for their Community Outreach and Relief Distribution Activity held at the UCCP in Malapatan, Sarangani Province last July 17, 2026. The activity aimed at providing physical and emotional aid to the people who were greatly affected by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake.

It is always an honor to serve our communities. We are deeply grateful to Brokenshire College Soccsksargen Inc. for this meaningful partnership and for allowing us to be part of this impactful initiative. Our heartfelt thanks also go out to the UCCP Malapatan for their warm welcome and for providing the venue to make this outreach possible.

Any form of assistance that PNA extends was made possible through various individuals who also helped the Association. Our enormous thanks unto them. May these individuals be blessed more. Our utmost gratitude belongs to God for guiding in implementing this activity successfully.
