We are proud to share that Women Advocating Total Change (WATCH) has been recognized as the 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫!

In addition, our very own WATCH Auditor, Mary Christine Adelan, was awarded as the Outstanding Advocate for Gender Equality of the Year.

This achievement reflects the passion, dedication, and commitment of everyone who continues to stand for empowerment, inclusivity, and positive change. May this recognition inspire us to keep pushing forward and creating a safer, more equal space for all.

The Women’s Month Celebration was successfully launched on March 10, 2026, at the NDDU HR Lobby. The event marked the beginning of a series of activities dedicated to honoring and empowering the women who continuously inspire our community.

As we begin this special celebration, we recognize the passion, dedication, and resilience of women who play vital roles in shaping our institution and society. May this month remind us to celebrate achievements, support one another, and continue advocating for empowerment and equality.

On March 10, 2026, we successfully gave flowers to our inspiring female personnel, hardworking faculty, and talented students as a small token of appreciation for their dedication, strength, and passion.

This gesture is more than just flowers, it’s a celebration of the countless ways women contribute to our university, from guiding and teaching, to leading projects, to inspiring fellow students and colleagues every day. Your hard work, resilience, and commitment make a difference not just in NDDU, but in the lives of everyone around you.

Healing begins when we choose to listen, care, and stand together.

Last January 24-25, the Women Advocating Total Change (WATCH) took part in an immersion at the Oblates of Notre Dame Women Ecological Sanctuary in Kidapawan—home to women and children survivors of abuse.

Through healing and trauma therapy sessions, we witnessed courage, hope, and resilience.

Thank you to the OND Sisters and to the girls who welcomed us with open hearts, and our SAGINSING and MAAS partners who made this experience truly meaningful🌸

𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟐𝟗 | 𝗩𝗔𝗪𝗖 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴

The NDDU community united last November 29, 2025 for the launching of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children. Led by the Gender and Development Center and NDDU WATCH, the event gathered speakers, student leaders, faculty members, and partner organizations who echoed the call for dignity, respect, and safety for all. With messages rooted in justice, compassion, and collective responsibility, the launch marked our shared commitment to stand against all forms of violence.

The solidarity walk and the symbolic marking of the blackboard further affirmed our stance—each step and each written mark representing our pledge to speak out, to listen, and to act. Together, we continue to declare: In NDDU, we protect. In NDDU, we empower. In NDDU, we end violence.

As the Nation marks the 𝟭𝟴-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻, the 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 along with the 𝗡𝗗𝗗𝗨 𝗚𝗔𝗗𝗖 will be conducting the 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 of the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗩𝗔𝗪𝗖 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻 this 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟵. Our mission is clear: to move from awareness to action, from advocacy to activism, and to stand as warriors for a 𝗩𝗔𝗪-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀.

Together, we take meaningful steps toward a future where every woman and girl can live with safety, dignity, and freedom. This national campaign reminds us of our shared responsibility: 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗣 violence against women, 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 beyond silence, and 𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗡 with compassion to every victim-survivor's story. Ending VAW rests on all of us. Let us rise as one, stand UNITED, and actively work toward building a community and a country free from fear, abuse, and violence.

𝑷𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒔, 𝒘𝒆 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒏 𝒂 𝒋𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚!

The dream destination is a VAW-free country, and our commitment today determines where we will be tomorrow.

As the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) spearheads the national 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, we call on every Filipino to move from awareness to action, from advocacy to activism, and from watchers to warriors.

This is more than an invitation; it is a shared national responsibility to ensure every woman and girl lives free from fear, abuse, and violence.

A VAW-free Philippines gives us the following signals for action:
• 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗣 violence against women. Women’s rights are human rights.
• 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 beyond silence. Do not judge a story you don’t fully know.
• 𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗡 with compassion. Put yourself in the shoes of victim-survivors, and champion their right to safety, dignity, and justice.

Ending VAW rests on all of us. Let us rise as one, stand UNiTEd, and build a VAW-free Philippines!
