We, the 7th Sangguniang Kabataan of Apopong, express our unwavering support for the passage of the Senate Bill No. 1979 or the Prevention of Adolescent Pregnancy Bill, sponsored by Senator Risa Hontiveros. This proposed legislation is a vital step in addressing one of the most pressing challenges facing Filipino youth today—adolescent pregnancy.

As youth leaders, we recognize the critical need for comprehensive education, accessible healthcare, and policies that empower young people to make informed decisions about their futures. This bill is not just a policy; it is a commitment to protect the rights, health, and well-being of the Filipino youth, ensuring that they have the opportunity to pursue their dreams free from the barriers posed by early and unplanned pregnancies.

Furthermore, we are in fervent campaign to combat misinformation and disinformation surrounding this bill. We firmly believe that fostering open, factual, and inclusive discussions is essential in creating a supportive environment where young people can thrive. Let us work together to break down stigma, promote awareness, and champion the rights of every Filipino adolescent.

We call upon our fellow youth leaders, community members, and other institutions to stand with us in supporting this legislation and advocating for the cause that concerns the youth.

𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗦𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗥𝗦!

In support of students taking the SASE 2024, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Apopong has rolled out the "𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜 𝙎𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙮 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙎𝘼𝙎𝙀 𝙏𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙧𝙨" project. The program provides two trips to assist students as they prepare for this important milestone.

This initiative will operate on a 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩-𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚, 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩-𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙗𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙨, as only two cabs are available per trip. The following are the time schedules:

1. BATCH 1 - 6:00 AM; and
2. BATCH 2 - 9: 00 AM.
