This October 3, 2025, the 𝑲𝒖𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒘 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑨𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆, led by our Founder & Artistic Director Mark Angelo Blasabas, has been given the honor to participate in the 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐄𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐬 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐭𝐮𝐤𝐥𝐚𝐬 (𝐌𝐌𝐁𝐌𝐏) 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝟒, 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 – 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 (𝐃𝐎𝐒𝐓-𝐍𝐑𝐂𝐏) 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐒𝐔-𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐬.

This interactive program, first launched in 2022, shines a spotlight on completed NRCP-funded research projects. The upcoming episode will highlight:

• Music-cultural flows and exchanges along the Pulangi–Cotabato River in Maguindanao.

• Research and mapping to better understand, scope, and define the Philippine music industry.

With this initiative, science and the arts come together to foster conversations that value our heritage, explore our identity, and empower our communities.

We are grateful to be part of this dialogue that not only honors research but also connects it with culture and creativity—paving the way for a brighter and more inclusive future.

𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒚 𝑰𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝑷𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒉!
Our indigenous communities are the living Hibla ng Kasaysayan the threads of history that keep our culture, traditions, and identity alive. For generations, they have carried wisdom, artistry, and a deep connection to the land. But this month also reminds us of their struggles lost ancestral lands, marginalization, and the need to protect their heritage.

This Indigenous Peoples Month, let’s not only celebrate them but also empower their voices and work together for a future where their heritage thrives.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞!We at 𝗞𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘄 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 are happy to share that our coordinator, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗼 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘀, had the honor of serving as one of the respected judges at 𝙆𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙙𝙮𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝘿𝙞𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 September 27, 2025, at the 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗵𝗮𝘄 𝗔𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗜𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆.

He shared this meaningful role together with 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗢. 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗦𝗨 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗸𝗮 — 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗠’𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗪 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿 and our trusted consultant in M’RANAW culture.

This experience is truly a blessing for the whole troupe, as it reflects our love and commitment to dance and culture.

We are sincerely grateful to the organizers, especially 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗜𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼𝘇𝗮 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗖𝗜 𝗜𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, along with the 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐧, for the trust and opportunity to be part of this celebration.
