𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁-𝗨𝗽 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲! 🚀✨

After a year of launching Project Start-Up Year 1, we step into a new chapter guided by experience and learning. Project Start-Up Year 2 was initiated by Unified 4H Club President 𝐃𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐌. 𝐒𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐞 and SK Kagawad 𝐉𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐆. 𝐀𝐦𝐩𝐨.

From raising chickens, we realized the challenges of weather changes and viral diseases that caused higher mortality rates. With this, the duo shifted to a stronger and more resilient alternative—ducks. Ducks are hardier, less affected by weather, and can thrive on food sources chickens cannot.

Through the prize money from the CEAA Competition, we purchased 19 ducklings. Today, they have fully matured and are already producing offspring.

The first batch of ducklings was released to 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐧𝐲 𝐀𝐧𝐠 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, under the care of Sir 𝐃𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐳, with the same agreement of returning five heads of 45-day-old ducklings per female to be distributed again to future beneficiaries.

This project continues to grow through dedication, responsibility, and shared commitment. Project Start-Up will not stop until every deserving youth is given the chance to earn income through hard work, perseverance, and determination. 💪🌱

Unified 4-H Club Katangawan joins the celebration of the International Day for the Conservation of the Mangrove Ecosystem through a meaningful mangrove planting activity held in Zone 6, Bula, General Santos City. This environmental initiative was made possible through the collective efforts of AGOS, CENRO - General Santos City, SBPS PAMO, and various local government units.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the 4-H Federation led by President Ivan Shem Gumilid for the continued support, Ma'am Maylene Bernaldez our City 4H Coordinator, the City Agriculturist Office for the meals that fueled our team, and to Sir Earl Herceda for the transportation assistance. Together, we take part in protecting and preserving our coastal ecosystems for the next generations. 🌱🌊🌍

The ATI-RTC XII is looking for farm partners and youth interns for the 4th Batch of the Youth Internship Program on Organic Farming (YIPOA).

YIPOA is a highly specialized internship program designed to instill and develop in the trainees an appreciation for organic agriculture (OA). The program is a collaborative effort between the DA-NOAP and the DA-ATI.

After months of hard work and dedication, Unified 4H Club Katangawan proudly marks a major milestone as Year 1 of Project Start-Up officially begins! 🎉

This initiative was made possible through the leadership of U4HC President Darcy Mark Sierte and SK Kagawad Hon. Jether Ampo.

Yesterday, after 4 months of nurturing and feeding, the much-anticipated release of Cabir Chickens finally happened! These chickens were turned over to our dedicated club members:

These passionate youth will now begin their chicken enterprise journey, raising the livestock entrusted to them and helping sustain this growing initiative.

The Unified 4H Club members are captured in a simple yet meaningful moment laughing, chatting, and working together as they gather cassava branches under the shade of trees. The ground is soft, their hands are a little dirty, but no one seems to mind and even the weather is not good yet still enjoyable. There's a lightness in the air, the kind that comes when you're surrounded by friends doing something with purpose. It’s not just about harvesting plants it’s about the bond they’re building, the lessons they’re learning, and the joy of being part of something bigger than themselves.
Some joke around while others focus on the task, but everyone plays a role. There’s teamwork, care, and real connection in every move. You can feel the spirit of the 4H Club alive in this moment heart, hands, head, and health all working in harmony. It’s these small, shared experiences that shape them, teaching not just farming or leadership, but empathy, pride in hard work, and the value of community. This is where growth happens not just in the soil, but in each of them. we build friendship and trust in this organization even earning trust. We can see in their eyes that they enjoy and they love taking care of our mother nature.

A momentous occasion as new officers and members pledge their commitment to service and development. The Unified 4H Club participated in the Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape SEAmposium: From Ridge to Reef, in celebration of Ocean Month and the International Day for Biodiversity.
The event focused on the various global challenges we face and explored how the government, community, and youth can collaboratively create impactful solutions.
The event featured internationally renowned individuals, including Ma'am Celine Murillo, Sir Val Vemil Vestil, and Diovannie De Jesus, whose advocacy and work have significantly influenced society both on social media and in real life. These modern-day storytellers provided valuable insights into the current state of our biodiversity, educating attendees on the importance of protecting our natural world.
