Today, we honor the people whose dedication keeps our tables full and our communities nourished. Their sacrifices may not always be seen, but they are felt in every grain of rice and every meal we share.

Behind every meal on our table is a farmer who wakes up before sunrise, works under the heat of the sun, and gives their time and strength so that no family goes hungry. Their dedication, sacrifice, and perseverance deserve our respect every single day.

On this Farmers' Appreciation Day, let us thank our farmers not only through words but also by valuing their hard work and supporting our local agricultural communities.

𝗕𝗞𝗗 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿

As part of its commitment to promoting students' well-being, the Fatima National High School's (FNHS') Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) joined the Mental Health and Values Education Program today on August 5, 2026, at the school gymnasium.

Held in response to the recent earthquake and shooting incidents, the seminar gathered grade-level federation major officers, special program federations, and student-led mental health advocacy organizations, including the Peer Counselors Club (PCC).

Through activities like this, BKD continues to advocate for mental wellness, positive values, and a safe, supportive, and drug-free school community.

Tuwing 𝘼𝙜𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙤, ating ipinagdiriwang ang 𝗕𝘂𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗶𝗸𝗮 bilang paggunita sa kahalagahan ng ating 𝔀𝓲𝓴𝓪𝓷𝓰 𝓕𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓹𝓲𝓷𝓸. Isa itong pagkakataon upang mas lalo nating mahalin, gamitin, at ipagmalaki ang wikang bahagi ng ating pagkakakilanlan bilang mga Pilipino.

Ang 𝙬𝙞𝙠𝙖 ang nagsisilbing tulay na nag-uugnay sa ating mga 𝐩𝐮𝐬𝐨, 𝐤𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚, 𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐨 bilang Pilipino. Sa bawat salitang ating ginagamit, naipapakita natin ang pagmamahal at pagpapahalaga sa ating sariling bayan.

Ngayong Buwan ng Wika, ipagmalaki natin ang ating sariling wika at patuloy natin itong gamitin, pahalagahan, at ipasa sa susunod na henerasyon upang manatiling buhay ang ating kultura at pagkakakilanlan.

Every smile tells a story, but not every story is seen. Behind the words "𝙄'𝙢 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙚" might be worries, fears, or emotions that deserve understanding and compassion.

To promote mental health awareness and emotional well-being, 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟳 and 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟴 students of 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 (𝗙𝗡𝗛𝗦) participated in a 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 (𝗠𝗛𝗣𝗦𝗦) session that encouraged open conversations about mental health, self-care, and seeking support whenever needed.

A heartfelt thank you to 𝗠𝗮'𝗮𝗺 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗖𝗼ñ𝗮 and our School Teachers for sharing their knowledge and words of encouragement that inspired our students to care for their mental and emotional well-being. We also commend the 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗮 (𝗕𝗞𝗗) 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 for their commitment and teamwork in making this activity a success.

🧠 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮... 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲? 🤔

If someone asked you that question today, would your answer truly reflect how you feel?

We often hear questions such as, "𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮?" Yet, many of us respond with a simple "𝐈'𝐦 𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐲," even when we're carrying battles no one else can see. And sometimes, all we need is a safe space to be heard.

Recently at 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 (𝗙𝗡𝗛𝗦) today, 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟵 and 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟭𝟬 students assessed and participated in a 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲'𝘀 (𝗠𝗛𝗣𝗦𝗦) 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻—a meaningful reminder that every emotion is valid and that seeking support is never a sign of weakness, but of courage.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to 𝗠𝗮'𝗮𝗺 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻̃𝗮 for sharing her time, wisdom, and words of encouragement that inspired students to care for both their minds and their hearts. We also extend our appreciation to the 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗮 (𝗕𝗞𝗗) 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 for their dedication in helping make the activity a success.

So today, let this be your reminder: check on a friend, listen with empathy, and never be afraid to ask for help when you need it.

Because sometimes, the 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 thing we can do 𝐢𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐬, 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦, support one another, and remember that no one has to face life's challenges alone.

"𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐲" — Ma'am Jermelie Coña

Fatima National High School recently conducted a school-based Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS) session for Grades 11 & 12 students and parents, reminding us that it's okay to feel scared, stressed, or overwhelmed. Our feelings are valid, and accepting them is the first step toward healing and becoming stronger.

We would like to sincerely thank Ma'am Jermelie Coña for sharing her time, knowledge, and heartfelt advice with us. Your words reminded us to stay calm during difficult situations, take care of our mental health, and remember that we are never alone. We also thank the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) officers for helping facilitate the session and for assisting in making the activity run smoothly.

May this session inspire us to become more understanding, compassionate, and emotionally resilient. Let us continue to check on our friends, listen without judgment, and create a community where everyone feels safe, valued, and heard.
