These photos are just a snapshot of the relief operations conducted by Dalan Mindanao Foundation in response to the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck offshore near General Santos City and Sarangani on June 8, 2026.
While they capture moments of service and compassion, they represent only a small part of our continuing mission to bring relief, hope, and the love of Christ to affected communities. Dalan Mindanao Foundation immediately mobilized its volunteers to respond to the needs of those affected by the disaster. Relief goods were prepared and distributed to families in need as an expression of God's love and compassion.
During the first wave of relief operations, 200 relief packs were distributed to affected residents of Purok Banwalan, Barangay San Jose, and Purok Atbag, Barangay San Jose, in General Santos City.
But our mission went beyond meeting physical needs.
As we reached out to the community, we also shared the Word of God, offering encouragement and reminding families that even in the midst of loss and uncertainty, there is hope in Jesus Christ. Our team prayed with the victims, offering hope, and encouragement through God’s love.
By God's grace, many individuals opened their hearts and accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Witnessing lives transformed by the love of Christ was a powerful reminder that true hope is found not only in the aid we provide but also in the Gospel we proclaim.
This humanitarian mission was made possible through the united efforts of Dalan Mindanao (A Foundation), Inc., Bless Our Cops Movement - Gensan, Shiloh Family Welfare International, and many other partners, volunteers, and generous donors who answered the call to serve.
While the first wave of assistance has reached many families, the need remains great. Numerous communities are still recovering from the devastating effects of the earthquake, and we remain committed to continuing our relief and outreach efforts in the days ahead.
