A K'LAJA Clean-Up Drive Initiative

Before the sun rose over the community, a group of dedicated young volunteers from Purok 8, Purok Nopol, and Purok 7 gathered with the same goal to protect and preserve one of our community's most valuable resources, the K'LAJA River.

Through the foRIVER – United for a Cleaner, this initiative serves as a reminder that protecting our environment begins with simple actions. While picking up waste may seem like a small task, every piece collected contributes to a healthier ecosystem and a cleaner community for everyone.

Beyond environmental conservation, the activity strengthened the spirit of volunteerism and community cooperation. It showed that when young people come together for a worthy cause, they can inspire positive change and strengthen the bonds within the community. Every bag of trash collected represented not only cleaner surroundings but also hope for a healthier and more sustainable future.

Environmental protection is not the responsibility of a few, it is the responsibility of all. Every action, no matter how small, contributes to a greater impact.

To all Kabataang Conelian, may this initiative serve as a call to action. Let us continue to care of our environment, and role models for future generations. By volunteering our time and talents, we become part of something greater than ourselves.

Let us not wait for change to happen, let us be the change our community needs.

Together, let us protect our K'laja river, just like how K'laja protect us.

𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟳𝟬 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗞𝗞 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Over 270 Kabataang Conelians gathered at the Conel Gymnasium on April 26, 2026 for the first Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly of the year.

The program formally opened with the welcome remarks of Hon. Kesylme E. Loregas, setting the tone for an engaging and participatory assembly.

Key updates were presented to the youth, including the annual budget discussed by Hon. Jennie Rose Dagohoy, providing transparency on the council’s plans and allocations.

Meanwhile, Hon. Ryan Jhay O. Lorica, SK Chairperson, delivered the council’s Accomplishment Report and State of the Youth Address, highlighting completed initiatives and outlining the direction for youth development in the community.

The activity was further strengthened by a message of support from Hon. Tessie Agbayani, reaffirming the barangay’s commitment to empowering the youth sector.

The KK Assembly served as a platform to inform, engage, and encourage active participation among the youth of Barangay Conel in local governance and community-building efforts.

More than attendance, the turnout reflects a growing willingness among Conelian youth to listen, engage, and take part in shaping their community.

The 𝙎𝙄𝙇𝙊𝙉𝙂-𝙆𝘼𝘼𝙂𝘼𝙋𝘼𝙔 is a community-based initiative of the Sangguiang Kabataan (SK) Council of Barangay Conel that provides accessible and organized tent facilities for residents during important events.

This project serves as your kaagapay, especially for:
📍 Funeral services (top priority)
📍 Large occasions like weddings, birthdays, and gatherings
📍 Barangay and SK activities

By providing reliable tents, the project aims to reduce financial burden, improve event organization, and strengthen community support in Barangay Conel.

Through a proper reservation and management system, we ensure fair and efficient use of resources for everyone.

All financial transactions and program implementations were carried out in full compliance with auditing rules and government regulations, ensuring that every peso allocated for the Kabataang Conelians was utilized responsibly and with integrity.

SK Conel remains steadfast in maintaining these standards as it continues to deliver programs and services that genuinely benefit the Kabataang Conelians.

As we move forward into 2026, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Council of Barangay Conel proudly presents its 2025 Annual Accomplishment Report—reflecting a year defined by active youth leadership, community engagement, and dedicated public service.

Throughout 2025, SK Conel implemented various programs and initiatives centered on youth development, environmental stewardship, health and wellness, sports, and community participation. Each effort was guided by the principles of transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance, ensuring that the voices and needs of the Kabataang Conelians remain at the forefront.

This report highlights the key projects, activities, and milestones achieved through the collective efforts of SK officials, volunteers, partner organizations, and the continued support of the community. 𝗦𝗞 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗽 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗸 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗽𝗲

In line with its commitment to environmental stewardship and community service, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Council of Barangay Conel participated in a cleanup drive at Purok Guadalupe on April 17, alongside the Barangay Council members and staffs.

Purok Guadalupe, a site regularly visited by residents and guests for its natural attractions—including Lamtiles Resort, Olarte Cave, and the nearby river—has seen increasing improper disposal and accumulation of waste. Recognizing the need for immediate and collective action, the SK Council joined the initiative to help restore and protect the area’s cleanliness and ecological value.

More than a single-day effort, this activity reflects the SK Conel's continued call for shared responsibility in caring for the environment.

The Council respectfully urges all community members and visitors to practice proper waste management and to be mindful of their impact, particularly in natural and recreational spaces.
