Recognizing the act for preservation of language and culture, the Dole Philippines, Inc. through Atty. Leila Dacua-Rivera (Manager, External Communications and Community Relations) expressed its commitment of sponsorhip for the Mindanao-Wide Blaan Congress in a consultative meeting, East Asia Royale Hotel, May 2, 2026.
While the organizing body agreed to lobby the Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative Office (IPMRO)
of Polomolok LGU as the committee head of the gathering, Atty. Dacua urged Municipal Administrator Dr. Joven Ryan G. Malida (along with Mr. Romeo L. Martin and Mr. Jeriby S. Malatin) to facilitate the legalities of the event through paper credentials and noted the team to check the program's sustainability while determining the beneficiaries.
The meeting also resulted to targetting 800 - 1000 attendees comprising IP leaders, professionals, youth, and women's group envisioned by Mun. Admin Malida to re-echo to their areas the insights from the congress and to lay down Blaan leadership.
