Since November, Mona, Rambo, and their friends have been organizing a story reading every Saturday at 10a.m., followed by games and activities related to their reading! It's a time for sharing that has been a huge hit with our young members!

On February 15, we celebrated the library's 4th anniversary! It's already been 4 years since we opened our doors to the children and teenagers of General Luna. Four years since we embarked on this incredible adventure 🫶.
The day of our anniversary, we counted 620 registered members, about 250 more than last year in February. This year, the party was attended by nearly 150 people (compared to about 100 at our events last year) 🎊!
Thank you to them, thank you to you, and thank you to Rica, Jecca, and Rose Ann, our wonderful team!

A special thank you to Rica, who supports this project alongside us with her heart, intelligence, and determination, as well as all the humility and kindness necessary 💕.

Le 15 février, nous avons fêté les 4 ans de la bibliothèque! 4 ans déjà que nous avons ouvert nos portes aux enfants et aux adolescents de General Luna. 4 ans que nous nous sommes lancés dans cette incroyable aventure 🫶. Le jour de notre anniversaire, nous comptions 620 membres inscrits, environ 250 de plus que l'année dernière au moins de février. Un nombre croissant de membres et de visiteurs que nous avons pu constater lors de la fête avec près de 150 participants (ils étaient une centaine lors de nos évènements de l'année dernière) 🎊!
Merci à eux, merci à vous, et merci à Rica, Jecca et Rose Ann, notre merveilleuse équipe 💕!

Un spécial grand merci à Rica qui porte ce projet à nos côtés avec son coeur, son intelligence et sa détermination, mais aussi toute l'humilité et la bienveillance nécessaire.

2026 got off to an unprecedented start, and it was with great pleasure that our team welcomed back all our visitors, young and old alike! In January, we received nearly 800 visits and 24 new members signed up 🤩!

Our team is going on vacation and closing out another year alongside the children and students of General Luna. We are proud to now have 266 middle and high school students registered! More and more of them are coming to study, read, or simply have a good time at the library. This year, we also organized a special evening for teens every week! With board games and a movie night, the event was a huge success and will definitely be on the program again in 2026 ✨! 😁👩‍🎓👨‍🎓😁

Notre équipe par en vacances et clôture une année de plus aux côtés des enfants et des étudiants de General Luna. Nous sommes fier.e.s de compter désormais 266 collégiens et lycéens inscrits ! Ils sont de plus en plus nombreux à venir étudier, lire, ou simplement passer un bon moment à la bibliothèque. Cette année, nous avons également mis en place une soirée spéciale ados chaque semaine ! Jeux de société ou soirée film, le rendez-vous a eu un franc succès et ne manquera pas d’être au programme de 2026✨! 😁👩‍🎓👨‍🎓😁

Hello, everyone!

Today is , a day that celebrates individual and collective support to a cause or organization! Giving Tuesday is a day dedicated to giving, volunteering, and generosity around the world.

This year, our organization is taking part in this special day to ask for your support and generosity to help us continue our mission! 💕✨

As you know, the Baybayin Library is a non-profit organization and depends exclusively on donations. These donations are used to pay basic bills such as electricity and internet, but also to ensure a fair salary for our team members and to pay for all the materials and equipment we need to carry out our mission. We organize nearly 200 activities per year for children and we have 550 members, 490 of whom are children and teenagers.

By donating to the library, you are making a real impact on the kids of General Luna. You are the key that allows us to continue opening the library to them!

Every Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m., we organize a free workshop for a dozen children! A moment dedicated to creativity (or gourmet treats, depending on the workshop). Don't hesitate to register your child! 🎨

Chaque samedi et chaque dimanche à 14h, nous organisons un atelier gratuit pour une douzaine d'enfants! Un moment sous le signe de la créativité (ou de la gourmandise selon l'atelier). N'hésitez pas à inscrire votre enfant ! 🎨

Despite a period punctuated by closures due to renovation work (and a typhoon), we were able to organize a memorable Halloween party! Nearly 150 kids came to enjoy a terrifying time with mini zombies and other creatures at the library! The children (and our team) took part in a costume parade, games, a dance show, and enjoyed lots of treats! 🎃🎃🎃

Malgré une période entrecoupée de fermetures en raison de travaux de rénovation (et d'un typhon), nous avons pu organiser une fête d'Halloween mémorable! Près de 150 enfants sont venus profiter d'un moment terrifiant avec des mini zombis et autres créatures à la bibliothèque! Les enfants (et notre équipe) ont pu participer à un défilé de déguisement, à des jeux, à un spectacle de dance, et déguster de nombreuses friandises! 🎃🎃🎃

Drawing is one of the favorite activities of children when they come to visit us. Some children already stand out, showing a certain talent and an obvious passion for drawing. Why not organize an exhibition to show us all this? Something to think about...

After more than three years, we finally had the opportunity to organize Baybayin classes at the library. Thanks to Lorenzo, our young visitors were able to discover the alphabet that gave its name to our organization, but more importantly, a part of their heritage. A heartfelt thank you to Lorenzo 🙏❣️. We wish you all the best in Manila and hope to see you again soon in Siargao!

Après plus de 3 ans, nous avons enfin eu la chance de pouvoir organiser des cours de Baybayin à la bibliothèque. Grâce à Lorenzo, nos jeunes visiteurs ont pu découvrir l'alphabet qui a donné son nom à notre association mais surtout une part de leur patrimoine. De tout coeur un grand merci Lorenzo 🙏❣️. Nous te souhaitons une belle continuation à Manille et espérons te revoir bientôt à Siargao!
