In compliance with "pwd accessibility law" in the Philippines is Batas Pambansa BP 344:
Accessible Facilities: The law requires buildings and public utilities to have features such as:
Sidewalks and ramps with appropriate slopes, width, and handrails.
Elevators, if required.
Accessible public toilets and restrooms with adequate turning space.

Legal Basis

Under the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons (RA 7277 as amended), a PWD is a person with long-term physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairment that hinders full and effective participation in society.

Age alone (being 60 years old and above) does not qualify a person as PWD. That falls under Senior Citizen privileges (RA 9994 – Expanded Senior Citizens Act).

But if the senior citizen has both age and disability, they are entitled to both benefits (SC & PWD), provided they apply separately.
