PRINCESS MANAN-AW CAVE | Alicia, Bohol
Tucked within the natural landscape of Alicia, Bohol, the Princess Manan-aw Cave stands as one of the island’s hidden geological treasures. 🌿✨ Known as part of Bohol’s geopark sites, this cave reflects the rich natural history and cultural identity of the province.

Garcia-Hernandez High School proudly celebrates the participation of its newly elected SSLG President, Mark Justine Iyo, in the Division Federated Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) Election held on March 7, 2026, at the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Bohol.

Iyo attended the significant event as the Garcia-Hernandez District Federated SSLG President, representing the voices and aspirations of student leaders across the district. His presence in the division-level gathering reflects the active involvement of Garcia-Hernandez student leadership in shaping initiatives and strengthening collaboration among SSLG officers throughout Bohol.

Joining him during the election was Mrs. Josephine Bahan, former SSLG Adviser of Garcia-Hernandez High School, who provided guidance and support throughout the activity.

The Division Federated SSLG Election serves as an important platform where student leaders convene to elect division-level officers who will lead programs and advocacies for learners across the Schools Division of Bohol. Through his participation, Iyo contributed to this democratic process while further strengthening the district’s representation in student governance.

Garcia-Hernandez High School commends Mark Justine Iyo for his dedication to service and leadership. His participation in the division election marks another step forward in empowering young leaders to actively take part in decision-making and community building within the education sector.

Newly elected SSLG President of GHHS and Garcia-Hernandez District Federated SSLG President, Mark Justine Iyo, actively participated in the Training of Trainers on Youth Development Sessions held on February 19–20 at Sinugbuan Hall.

The two-day training aimed to equip facilitators with the necessary knowledge, strategies, and skills to effectively deliver structured and value-driven Youth Development Sessions. Designed to strengthen leadership competence and promote holistic youth formation, the program focused on empowering leaders to become catalysts of positive change in their respective schools and communities.

The event gathered various leaders and stakeholders, including Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials, barangay captains, teachers, and other government representatives, highlighting a unified commitment to youth empowerment and community development.

Through his participation, President Iyo reaffirmed his dedication to advancing purposeful leadership and meaningful student engagement within Garcia-Hernandez High School and across the district. The school, together with the entire District Federation of SSLG Presidents, expresses its sincere gratitude for the opportunity to be part of such a significant and transformative initiative.

Indeed, this experience marks another step forward in nurturing empowered, service-driven young leaders ready to make a lasting impact.
