๐ˆ๐ ๐๐‡๐Ž๐“๐Ž๐’: The 237th DMST Graduation Ceremony & Change of Command of Corps of ROTC Cadet Officers

The 237th Department of Military Science and Tactics (DMST) at the National Aviation Academy of the Philippines โ€“ Palmayo Campus in Floridablanca, Pampanga, successfully held its ROTC Graduation Ceremony for Academic Year 2025-2026.

Hon. Michael L Galang, Municipal Mayor of Floridablanca, graced the event as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his address, he inspired the cadets with profound insights on leadership, discipline, and the true meaning of public service.

The success of the ROTC program continues under the dedicated guidance of NSTP Coordinator Asst. Prof. Kim Gerald P Cortes, MIT, and the Military Training Staff, headed by ROTC Commandant 1LT CHRISTOPHER B PAYANAY PAF.

The highlights of the Ceremony was the presentation of awards to deserving cadets who demonstrated exemplary performance throughout the year:

This time-honored tradition symbolizes the continuity of leadership and the unwavering commitment to service upheld by the Corps of ROTC Cadets.

As the chapter for AY 2025-2026 closes, the 237th DMST moves forward in its mission to mold disciplined, patriotic cadets ready to face the challenges of the nation.

LOOK | The 237th Department of Military Science and Tactics successfully conducted a feeding activity and distribution of school supplies at Camachile Child Development Center, Brgy Nabuclod, Floridablanca, Pampanga on 28 March 2026. This activity was initiated by the ROTC cadets of the National Aviation Academy of the Philippines, Basaโ€“Palmayo Campus, benefiting the kindergarten pupils of the community.

The event was filled with joy and meaningful moments, highlighted by a lively dance intermission number from selected advance officers and parlor games that brought smiles and laughter to the children. More than the assistance given, the activity created a warm connection between the cadets and the young learners.

Through simple acts of kindness, the cadets demonstrated that true leadership goes beyond drills and formations. It is also about reaching out, inspiring hope, and making a positive difference in the lives of others.

One of the highlights of the activity was the pass and review of cadets in preparation for their upcoming graduation ceremony tentatively scheduled in April 2026, as they marched with confidence and pride, each step reflected their hard work and commitment to excellence.

The activity served as a reminder that every challenge faced during training has shaped them into more capable and responsible individuals.

LOOK | For its 12th Training Day on 14 March 2026, the Military Training Instructors of the 237th Department of Military Science and Tactics conducted a video presentation about the West Philippine Sea in support of the AFP Communication Plan โ€œMulatโ€ through a Video Teleconference (VTC).

The activity aimed to strengthen awareness and understanding among cadets on current national issues, highlighting the importance of being informed, vigilant, and responsible citizens. Through this initiative, cadets were encouraged to develop a deeper sense of patriotism and appreciation of the countryโ€™s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In addition, a discussion and briefing on the different contests for the National ROTC Month such as poster making, essay writing, and audio-visual presentation were also conducted. These activities are designed to showcase the talents, creativity, and insights of the cadets while promoting unity, participation, and active involvement in ROTC programs.

Indeed, the 12th Training Day served not only as a platform for learning but also as an opportunity to inspire cadets to express their ideas, strengthen their skills, and continue their commitment to serving the nation with pride and purpose.
