Since Grade 7, you’ve been more than a guide,
A steady hand walking right by my side.
Through every trail and the lessons we’ve known,
You became my mentor, my second home.

I may not have reached the Eagle’s high flight,
Or claimed that gold badge in the morning light,
But the rank on my chest isn’t where my worth lies
It’s in the perspective I found through your eyes.

You molded a spirit that’s ready to serve,
With the kind of courage I didn't deserve.
You taught me that helping is where honor starts,
And etched the Scout Law deep in our hearts.

So on this birthday, I want you to see,
The person you’ve shaped and the Scout I will be.
Though I didn't soar to that peak in the sky,
I’ll be the one you’re proud of that I can’t deny.
