Mrs. Carmelita L. Acosta, born in 1944 in Puerto Princesa City, earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1968 from Holy Trinity College. Beginning her teaching career in 1963 at Nana Pilot School, she became Teacher-in-Charge in 1988 and Head Teacher in 2001, retiring in 2004 after over 40 years of service. Mrs. Acosta served as Barangay Chair of Sibaltan from 2008 to 2013 and played a key role in establishing the Community Managed Marine Area in Sibaltan. She is also the President of the people's organization Mahalin Ingatan Yaman ay Napapakinabangan and serves as Treasurer of the Sibaltan Heritage Council.

Her visionary leadership and unwavering commitment were instrumental in shaping our organization's success and guiding us through pivotal moments. Beyond her professional expertise, she brought a spirit of integrity and compassion that inspired everyone who had the privilege of working alongside her. While we mourn this profound loss, we remain forever inspired by her dedication to our mission, and we commit to carrying forward the excellence she championed throughout her remarkable tenure.
