“Silence Was Never Her Name”

Is a short film that highlights the realities many women face bullying, discrimination, and abuse often hidden behind silence. Through the journey of Juana, a student who learns to speak up with the help of other women, the film shows how courage, support, and unity can break cycles of fear.

Inspired by the spirit of empowered Filipinas, the film promotes the idea that every woman has the strength to rise, lead, and create change. When women stand for each other, they not only find their voice they become a force that transforms communities.

“Diwa ng Babaylan: Ang Pagbangon ni Juana”

This short film is about Juana, a quiet girl who feels small and unimportant in her class. Many people do not notice her, and some even judge her. Because of this, she starts to doubt herself.
Everything changes when she is chosen to be the leader of a project about women empowerment. At first, Juana is scared and thinks she is not good enough. But her classmates encourage her and help her believe in herself.

One day, Juana has a dream. She meets a Babaylan, a strong woman leader from the past. The Babaylan shows her different women—mothers, teachers, and nurses—who are strong, kind, and brave in their own ways. Juana realizes that strength is not about being perfect, but about having courage and heart.

When Juana wakes up, she feels stronger and more confident. She accepts her role as a leader and speaks in front of her class with courage.
This film teaches us that every girl has strength inside her. If you believe in yourself, you can rise, lead, and inspire others.

"UNFAIRNESS OF REALITY "

Women’s Month is not only a celebration of strength, resilience, and achievements—it is also a time to acknowledge the silent battles many women continue to face. Behind the smiles and courage are stories of harassment, unfair treatment, and emotional pain that often go unseen. Many women endure mental and emotional struggles, feeling unheard, overwhelmed, and at times disconnected from themselves. There are moments of constant doubt, absence of peace of mind, and nights filled with quiet tears.

For some, the pain is even deeper—facing abuse from the very people who are supposed to love and protect them. Unfair treatment, whether in relationships, workplaces, or society, leaves lasting scars that are not always visible. Yet despite these hardships, women continue to rise, to fight, and to hope for a world where they are valued, respected, and safe.

This Women’s Month, let us not only celebrate women’s achievements but also stand in solidarity with those who are struggling. Let us listen, support, and create spaces where every woman feels seen, heard, and empowered to heal and reclaim her strength.
