As of this posting, Tropical Storm Basyang continues to bring heavy rains and strong winds across Dumaguete City and Negros Oriental. Several areas in the Visayas are now under heightened wind signals, and flooding in low-lying communities remains a serious concern.

In response, Colegio de Sta. Catalina de Alejandria, Inc. (COSCA) once again opens ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—น๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜€๐—ฎ ๐—–๐—ข๐—ฆ๐—–๐—” to provide temporary and safe shelter for families and individuals from flood-prone and high-risk areas.

Since Executive Order No. 32 S. 2025, Office of the Governor, Province of Negros Oriental, suspending classes in all levels in both public and private schools, has not been lifted yet and since the skies are still heavy with dark clouds and still raining, though not a heavy downpour, SUSPENSION of work and classes in COSCA in all levels is extended the whole day tomorrow, Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
