NegOr Ultramarathon Advocacy: Running Toward Freedom form Hunger in Negros Oriental is an innovative, community-anchored, and multi-sectoral approach that complements existing government programs. While supply-side interventionsβsuch as feeding programs, agricultural support, and livelihood assistanceβremain essential, there is an equally critical need for advocacy-driven platforms that mobilize public awareness, private sector participation, and citizen engagement.
The NegOr Ultra Zero Hunger Series: Libertad del Hambre responds to this need by harnessing endurance sport as a vehicle for social advocacy, fundraising, and convergence with national and local food security initiatives. It positions sport not merely as competition, but as a tool for development, dignity, and collective action.
