The Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) Election of Dumaguete City for the term 2026โ2029 was successfully conducted on March 21, 2026, at the Dumaguete City Session Hall. The event convened duly registered youth organizations in a democratic and participatory process aimed at strengthening youth engagement in local governance and development.
Out of forty-four (44) registered youth organizations, nineteen (19) were officially elected to serve as representatives to the Dumaguete City Local Youth Development Council for the said term. This milestone reflects the continued commitment of the youth sector to active citizenship, leadership, and meaningful community involvement.

Economic Empowerment:
Negros Oriental Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants; Executive Associates for Gainful Livelihood Expertise Society

Dumaguetnon Youth Theatre Artists; Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines
Environment:
Life Science Society; Geology Studentโs Society
Global Mobility:
Department of Science and Technology Scholarsโ Association in Negros Oriental; Girls Congress
Health:
Negros Oriental State University โ Psychology Society; Dumaguete Youth Leaders for Development
Peacebuilding and Security:
Candau-ay Youth Organization; Para sa Piapi Youth Organization
Governance:
Metro Dumaguete College โ Supreme Student Government
Social Inclusion and Equity:
Teen Advocates for Gender Awareness in Dumaguete; Youth With A Mission Student Movement

The election was facilitated by the Local Youth Development Office and the Chairperson of the Local Youth Development Council, Hon. Miguel Lorenzo N. Aseniero, ensuring a transparent, orderly, and credible electoral process.
