: Silliman University students are among the recipients of the 2026 Community Student Awards conferred by the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) on March 20, 2026 at the YMCA Negros Oriental Inc. Conference Hall.

A total of five senior high school students and ten university students from Silliman were recognized for their outstanding achievements in academics, leadership, and community service, which are qualities that the YMCA Community Student Award seeks to uphold among graduating students.

The senior high school awardees are Karla Concepcion A. Fontelo, Jarrell Jade C. Navarro, Spencer R. Renacia, Julia Marie G. Sarenas, and Mary Kate V. Sayson.

At the university level, the awardees are Mae Danielle N. Alcancia (College of Education), Dylan Danielle M. Camisura (College of Education), Kathrina E. Dagoy (College of Education), Arby P. Elnar (College of Education), Lia Nicole Angelika M. Bungabong (College of Business Administration), Ryan Rikaz C. Ibraim (College of Mass Communication), Grylle Adrian G. Malala (College of Mass Communication), Gwyn A. Morata (College of Education), Vanessa Carmel B. Regalado (College of Arts and Sciences), and Alexis Teresa Marie C. Tam (College of Business Administration).

The YMCA Community Student Award is a community-based recognition given to graduating students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service, reflecting the organization’s commitment to youth development and social responsibility.

We proudly recognize our brother 𝗡𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻 for his inspiring act of service to the community. Together with his wife Gina, he has long been offering free goat stud services in Dipolog City to help local farmers.

Their advocacy continues to grow, with their next expansion set to reach 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, allowing more communities to benefit.

We are proud of you, brod Oracion Inding Goats. Your generosity truly reflects the spirit of brotherhood and service.

Sadaqah, in Islam, refers to a voluntary, non-obligatory act of charity done to please God and help those in need. It encompasses simple acts of goodness shown through generosity, compassion, and love for others.

Like a well that sustains generations with its water, loving couple Nesty and Gina Oracion from Dipolog City have long practiced this spirit of giving through their free goat stud service—an act of charity they have carried out for as long as they can remember.

Little Steps, Big Dreams

Today, March 4, 2026, the 𝗥𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 held a community outreach in Kabankalan, Siaton, featuring a Donation Drive, Storytelling, and Feeding Program for the children, along with dry-good distribution for their parents.

Thank you to the residents for their cooperation, to our Grand Rizalian Prisa Herren for leading this initiative, and to our generous alumni for their financial support.

Every little step truly leads to bigger dreams. 🌈
