It is with a heavy heart and deep regret that we must share this news. 𝗞𝗮𝗖𝗘𝗔𝗵𝗮𝗻 has long been a cherished tradition in the College of Engineering and Architecture, a celebration of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and the vibrant spirit of the CEA community. However, despite our strong desire to continue this tradition, circumstances beyond our control have led us to make a difficult decision.

In light of the recent advisory issued by the university, 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀, we are saddened to announce that 𝗞𝗮𝗖𝗘𝗔𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲—𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗿. 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗘𝗔 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁—will no longer push through and is 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱.

The event was 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟭, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗿. 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝗘𝗔 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟴, 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀, which were days where 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱. However, due to the sudden national directive 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟳 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟵, and the recent advisory where 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘆, these dates were no longer possible, which led to the postponement of KaCEAhan 2026.

In an effort to still continue the event, a 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 was hoped for to move the activities to 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟯—𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀. However, these dates also fall within 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸, 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱.

Compounding these issues, 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗳 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, the adjusted national schedule designates Mondays as a 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗼 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀, 𝗻𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱. Since this directive is a national order given by the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗶𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳, we are unable to go against it and proceed with the event under these circumstances.

After thorough consultation and guidance with our supportive 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻, 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗳 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗦. 𝗩𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮, and our 𝗦𝗚 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗶𝗲 𝗡. 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱, it was collectively agreed and respected that 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱, especially with our week now reduced to only four days, midterm examinations approaching, and the semester being halfway through. Given the limited time left in the academic calendar, it was decided that these days should remain focused on academic responsibilities.

This decision was also discussed in a meeting with the 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, who have respectfully expressed their support and understanding regarding the situation.

While this was not an easy decision, it was made with the best interest of the students and college in mind.

Moving forward, the CEA Student Government will now focus its efforts on the 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘀.

The wait is almost over. In just 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀, the CEA community will come together once again for 𝗞𝗮𝗖𝗘𝗔𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 — our college’s celebration of 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹, 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲.

The festivities officially begin on 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟭 with the 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆, featuring the 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲, 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and the 𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, marking start of the games, where departments will compete, represent, and give their all in the spirit of friendly rivalry.

From 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟭 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟰, the courts, fields, and rooms will be filled with energy as students battle it out across different events for honor and points toward the overall title.

But the excitement doesn’t end there. The celebration will reach its 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗲 on 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟴 with the much-anticipated 𝓜𝓻. 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓜𝓼. 𝓒𝓔𝓐 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, where confidence, charisma, and pride will take center stage.
