A big congratulations to Hon. Ma. Isabel Maisa L. Sagarbarria for filing two landmark bills in Congress that champion our city's culture and future!

HB 5918 (Dumaguete City Literary Capital of the Philippines Act): This bill aims to officially recognize Dumaguete as the "Literary Capital of the Philippines," celebrating its deep and lasting impact on our nation's literature.

HB 5919 (Dumaguete City National Library and Creative Center Act): This proposal seeks to establish a national library and creative center right here in our city—a dedicated hub for learning, research, and artistic collaboration for generations to come.
These are exciting developments for every Dumagueteño! Thank you, Cong. Maisa, for pushing for these wonderful initiatives!
