The Movement is a network that thickens gradually varied in its reality, welcoming young people from various Christian denominations, different religions and even those without a religious reference: all passionate protagonists of universal brotherhood. We, the Gen, meaning ‘new GENeration,’ are the youth branch of the Focolare Movement, an ecclesiastical Catholic movement present all over the world in more than 180 countries. Inspired by our foundress Chiara Lubich and Jesus’ prayer, that ‘all may be one Jn. 17:21,’ we strive to aim for unity in our homes, schools, workplaces and communities in hopes to achieve universal brotherhood and establish dialogue with our brothers and sisters of other faiths and religions.
