It is with great pride that we officially announce the 62nd Grand Reunion and General Assembly of Leon Kilat DeMolay Alumni Chapter No. 44, to be held this coming August 23–24, 2025, in Dumaguete City.

Here is the itinerary for this year’s celebration:

AUGUST 23, 2025

9:00 AM – 11:00 AM | Registration at Silliman Alumni Hall

12:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Luncheon Meeting and General Assembly at Calo, San Jose

AUGUST 24, 2025

2:00 PM – 6:00 PM | 122nd Installation of Officers of Leon Kilat Chapter No. 7, Order of DeMolay

In honor of a true hero, Leon Kilat Chapter No. 7, Order of DeMolay, proudly commemorated the birth anniversary of our chapter’s namesake, Pantaleon “Leon Kilat” Villegas.

Born on July 27, 1873, in Bacong, Negros Oriental, Leon Kilat was a revolutionary leader who played a significant role in the fight for Philippine independence during the Spanish colonial period. Known for his courage and leadership during the Cebu uprising of 1898, he remains a symbol of bravery and patriotism.

Through this celebration, we remember not only his contributions to our nation’s history but also the values of courage, service, and leadership that he exemplified, ideals we continue to uphold as DeMolays.

CELEBRATING THE FOUNDER TODAY

A devoted champion of Freemasonry and of its teachings, Frank Sherman Land would become a figure of international prominence within Masonry, eventually becoming Imperial Potentate of the Shrine of North America.

Dad Land worked tirelessly for the Order of DeMolay. He was the charismatic founder and leader of the Order. Frank S. Land was truly a great man and a person who came to be known by millions, simply as “Dad“.

Happy 135th birthday to the founder of the Order of DeMolay, Dad Frank Sherman Land - a Freemason, Scottish Rite Mason and Shriner.

Dad Land’s life touched, and continues to impact generation after generation of young people, young men looking to better themselves by emulating the lessons and examples by which he himself lived.

The meeting was a success and many agendas were discussed. The brethren also conducted a fellowship after the stated meeting

Members of Leon Kilat Chapter No. 7 repainted the playground at City Central Elementary School. This effort aims to help prepare the school for the upcoming academic year and provide students with a cleaner, more vibrant space for play and learning.

On June 8, 2025, representatives of Leon Kilat Chapter No. 7 visited Linabo Peak Chapter No. 68 and attended their 12th Public Installation of newly elected officers.

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Linabo Peak Chapter for warmly inviting us and for their kind hospitality throughout the event.

Events like these remind us that no matter the distance between Chapters, we are all part of one brotherhood, committed to supporting each other and uplifting the Order wherever we go.
