BUILDING THE FUTURE: DYZLC’s 5-YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN

On October 10–11, 2026, the officers of DCCCO Youth Zone Laboratory Cooperative (DYZLC) gathered for a two-day Strategic Planning Workshop held at Silliman University College of Business Administration and SUCC Multipurpose Cooperative Building, Dumaguete City.

Designed to strengthen the leadership and planning capabilities of young cooperative leaders, the workshop provided a meaningful opportunity for collaborative planning, interactive discussions, and a deeper appreciation of the true value of cooperation. Through this initiative, the officers worked together to transform their ideas and aspirations into a clear, child-friendly, and need-based 5-Year Strategic Plan (2027–2031).

This strategic roadmap will serve as the blueprint for DYZLC's growth and development over the next five years, guiding the officers in setting priorities, achieving measurable progress, managing cooperative assets responsibly, and fostering shared accountability. More than just a plan, it represents the officers’ commitment to build a stronger, more sustainable, and member-centered cooperative movement.

DYZLC extends its heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Whiazel Nangpi, NATCCO Children and Youth Head, for her invaluable mentorship, guidance, and dedication in facilitating this two-day workshop. Her knowledge and support have empowered the young leaders to think strategically, lead purposefully, and envision a brighter future for their laboratory cooperative.

On October 2, 2026, Aflatoun members from Quezon Elementary School in San Carlos City participated in the Ownership Meeting and Financial Literacy Seminar, aimed at strengthening their knowledge and understanding of financial responsibility, saving, and cooperative ownership.

Simultaneously, a Pre-Membership Education Seminar (PMES) was conducted for interested students, providing them with an opportunity to learn more about DCCCO, its programs, services, and benefits.

DCCCO extends its heartfelt gratitude to the School Head, Ms. Marjorie Q. Batosin, and Aflatoun Coordinator, Ms. Ma. Jojie R. Sy, for their continued support and for granting permission to conduct these meaningful and insightful activities.

Your partnership plays an important role in empowering our young learners with financial knowledge, responsible habits, and cooperative values that they can carry with them as they grow.

Together, let us continue nurturing a generation that is financially responsible, empowered, and ready to make a positive difference in their communities. 💙💛
