Today marks the ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ—๐ญ๐ก ๐…๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐€๐ง๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐š๐ซ๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐€๐ฌ๐ฌ๐จ๐œ๐ข๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐’๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ฌ๐ญ ๐€๐ฌ๐ข๐š๐ง ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ (๐€๐’๐„๐€๐), an intergovernmental organization primarily focused on Southeast Asia's economic development, peaceful coexistence, and security issues.

This organization served as a pathway for the Philippines to have relationship with other countries, slowly bringing in peace despite farther landmasses. This goes to show that even when Southeast Asian countries are far from one another physically, the connection still remains and can be built through partnerships in this organization.

Sa araw na ito, ipinagdiriwang natin hindi lang ang ating wika, kundi pati ang mga kwento, kultura, at pagkakakilanlang dala nito. Sa bawat salitang Filipino na ating binibigkas, dala natin ang mga tinig ng nakaraan at ang pag-asang maipapasa ito sa susunod na henerasyon. Language connects us, but our own language reminds us where we truly belong.

Kaya't sabay-sabay nating ipagdiwang ang Buwan ng Wika. Patuloy nating mahalin, gamitin, at pahalagahan ang wikang Filipino, hindi lamang ngayong Agosto kundi sa bawat araw.
