The City Government of Dumaguete, through the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), opens the registration for Youth and Youth-Serving Organizations under the Youth Organization Registration Program (YORP).

𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗢𝗙 𝗥𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡: 𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟭𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Community-based, school-based, faith-based, and other youth-serving organizations are encouraged to register and become officially recognized partners in promoting youth development, leadership, and community empowerment.

Interested organizations are requested to submit the following documentary requirements to the Local Youth Development Office, 2nd Floor, City Health Building, City Hall Compound, Dumaguete City:
• Duly Accomplished Official Registration Form
• Directory of Officers and Advisers
• List of Members in Good Standing
• Copy of the Organization’s Constitution and By-Laws, clearly indicating the age range and scope of membership
• Endorsement or Certification from the Appropriate Authority

And just like that, Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 came to a close through its Culmination Night, held on August 16, 2026, at Rizal Boulevard, Dumaguete City, led by Gaba-an Youth Lead and Dumaguete Youth Leaders for Development. Inspired by a Showtime-style program, the evening brought together performances, activities, and shared moments as the youth gathered for the final celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan.

The City Government of Dumaguete, through the Local Youth Development Office, Local Youth Development Council, and Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Dumaguete, extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who made this celebration possible.

Special thanks to Ramon Teves Pastor Memorial – Dumaguete Science High School, Kilos Ko Youth – Sidlak sa Buglas, Negros Oriental Chapter, Dumaguete Youth Leaders for Development, Dumaguetnon Youth Theatre Artists, Society of Student Communicators, and Sangguniang Kabataan for sharing their time, talents, and efforts throughout the Culmination Night.

Our gratitude also goes to Zuel Audio and Lights for their support and contribution to the successful conduct of competition.

To all participating organizations, youth leaders, volunteers, performers, partners, and everyone who joined, supported, and cheered from beginning to end, thank you for making Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 a celebration to remember.

This celebration may have come to an end, but the ideas, friendships, and inspiration shared throughout the celebration will continue. The stage may be closing, but the youth are only getting started.

Three days of creativity, ideas, and youth-driven initiatives came together at the Dumaguete Youth Fair 2026, which successfully concluded on August 16, 2026, as part of the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026. The fair provided a space for youth organizations to showcase their talents, advocacies, initiatives, and contributions to the community.

The Youth Fair featured booths from Norsunian Nursing Student Society, College of Engineering and Architecture NORSU Student Chapter, Sangguniang Kabataan Federation of Dumaguete, Dumaguete Youth Leaders for Development, United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary – Negros Oriental State University Chapter, Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines, Gaba-an Youth Lead, Ang Sandigan, Dumaguetnon Youth Theater Artist, Department of Science and Technology Scholars' Association in Negros Oriental, Kilos Ko Youth – Sidlak sa Buglas, Negros Oriental Chapter, and Red Cross Youth, each bringing their own creativity and advocacies to the fair.

𝐅𝐎𝐋𝐊 𝐃𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 💃

As part of the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, the Folk Dance Competition 2026 was successfully conducted on August 16, 2026, bringing together young performers in a celebration of Filipino culture, tradition, creativity, and teamwork.

The competition brought together participating teams from RTPM – Dumaguete Science High School, Piapi High School, Dumaguete City National High School, Taclobo National High School, Hermenegilda F. G. Memorial High School, Junob National High School, and Camanjac National High School. Through their performances, the participants showcased their dedication, discipline, and appreciation for the rich cultural traditions of the Philippines.

𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐙 𝐁𝐎𝐖𝐋 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 🧠

As part of the celebration of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, the Quiz Bowl 2026 was successfully conducted on August 16, 2026, bringing together Supreme Student Government representatives from different schools in a meaningful showcase of knowledge, critical thinking, quick recall, and teamwork.

The competition brought together participating Supreme Student Government representatives from Ramon Teves Pastor Memorial – Dumaguete Science High School, Piapi High School, Taclobo National High School, Hermenegilda F. Gloria Memorial High School, Junob National High School, Camanjac National High School, Colegio de Santa Catalina de Alejandría, Metro Dumaguete College, Holy Cross High School, and Negros Oriental High School.

Through the different rounds of the competition, the participants were given an opportunity to challenge their knowledge, think critically under pressure, and work together toward a common goal. More than answering questions, it highlighted the importance of preparation, curiosity, teamwork, and continuous learning among the youth.
