A Mission Renewed: SYM Leaders and Animators Inducted

Dumaguete City – The St. Louis School of Don Bosco–Salesian Youth Movement (SYM) formally inducted its leaders and animators for School Year 2026–2027 on October 7, 2026, coinciding with the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.

The induction ceremony was presided over by Rev. Fr. Vince Michael K. Sabal, SDB. Andrei John Nicolai Gerolao represented the SYM leaders, while Reynaldo Durango Jr. represented the SYM animators.

The occasion marked a renewed commitment to leadership, faith, and service as the inductees embraced their responsibilities to guide and accompany the youth community.

As they begin another year of service, the newly inducted leaders and animators are entrusted with the mission of making the SYM community a place where young people can deepen their relationship with God, strengthen their bonds with one another, and live out their faith through meaningful service.

The Grade 11 students of St. Louis School of Don Bosco journeyed together in their Salesian Youth Spirituality Retreat through prayer, reflection, community, sharing, and service. The venue for the retreat was at Don Bosco House of Peace-Mantalongon, Dalaguete, Cebu facilitated by the SYM-FIS Core Group.

Inspired by the spirituality of St. John Bosco, the Bosconians were invited to recognize God's presence in everyday life, deepen their friendship with Jesus, discover their personal vocation, and live out their faith through joyful and responsible service to others.

May they continue to grow in holiness, embrace the Salesian spirit, and become signs of God's love wherever they go! 🌿

DAILY DON BOSCO

Father and Teacher of Youth, you who worked so much for the salvation of souls, be our guide in seeking good for our souls and the salvation of our neighbor; help us conquer our passions and human respect; teach us to love Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, Mary Help of Christians, and the Pope; and obtain for us from God a happy death, so that one day we will join you in Heaven. Amen.

In the stillness of His presence, we find peace, strength, and renewed hope. ❤️

The school community of St. Louis School of Don Bosco gathered before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, offering prayers, giving thanks, and allowing His love to guide our hearts and lives.

May this sacred encounter deepen our friendship with Jesus and inspire us to live with faith, joy, love for others, and for more vocations to the priestly and religious life.

“Remain in me, as I remain in you.” — John 15:4
