We know it takes extra effort to sort trash the right way. But every bottle, wrapper, and leftover we put in the proper bin makes a real difference for our school and our planet. 💚

PROPER WASTE DISPOSAL STARTS WITH US! 🌿
Maintaining a clean and green campus requires everyone's effort! To help us segregate our waste properly, here is a quick guide on where to dispose of your trash correctly:

🟢 1. BIODEGRADABLE (Nabubulok)
Items: paper waste, food scraps, fruit peelings
Where to dispose of?: Compost Pits
📍Locations:
• Between Classrooms 7 and 8
• In front of Classrooms 28 and 29
• Behind Classroom 50

🔴 2. NON-BIODEGRADABLE (Di-nabubulok)
Items: single-use plastics, residual waste, candy wrappers
Where to dispose of?: Behind the comfort room near the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)

⚠️ Reminder: Always make sure non-biodegradable waste is properly secured inside a trash bag before disposal.

🔵 3. RECYCLABLE (Nareresiklo)
Items: plastic bottles, glass containers, recyclable packaging
Where to dispose of?: Materials Recovery Facility (MRF)
Location: Near the TLE Building, Red

🗑️ CLEAN SCHOOL, BRIGHTER FUTURE!

The 45 new trash bins + proper labels have been distributed to every room in our school.🎒🌿

Proper waste segregation starts with having the right tools — all classrooms now have clearly marked bins for:
🟢 Biodegradable / Nabubulok
🔴 Non-Biodegradable / Di-nabubulok
🔵 Recyclable / Nareresiklo

This is our step to keep Donsol National Comprehensive High School clean, teach proper waste management, and protect our environment together. 🤝

Let’s use them properly and keep our school clean! 💪🌱

Many know Donsol for our gentle butanding (whale sharks)… but did you know they rely on our mangroves to survive? 🦈

✅ Mangroves feed the whale sharks!
Fallen leaves break down into nutrients → grows plankton → plankton is what brings the world’s biggest fish here! No healthy mangroves = fewer butandings.

✅ They light up the night!
Our mangroves host fireflies that flash in perfect sync—like living Christmas trees! 🎇

✅ They are our natural shield.
Tangled roots block storm surges, fight erosion, and store 3–4x more carbon than regular forests.

✅ Home to our seafood
Safe nurseries for baby fish, crabs, and shrimp that feed our families.

"It is not enough to just know their worth—protect mangroves, protect our earth."

That’s why let’s act now🌱
• Do not cut or damage mangroves
• Never throw trash near our coasts or rivers
• Help spread awareness to family and friends
• Join clean‑ups and tree‑planting activities
