[Updated] Villahermosa is the second to the last upstream barangay of Dolores (Eastern Samar, Philippines) with a population of 891 (as of May 1, 2020) comprising 2% of the town's population. Construction (concreting) of farm-to-market road continues connecting Can-avid and Maslog passing through Dolores upstream barangays. The barangay is already energized thru the Eastern Samar Electric Coopera

tive (ESAMELCO) and communication lines for cellular phones and internet is hardly accessible in the area. Farming is the main source of livelihood of the residents particularly on palay and copra production. The barangay has a complete elementary school, however, due to frequent typhoons and flooding, classrooms need rehabilitation. It also has a covered court, health center, day care center, barangay hall, and a catholic church whose Patron Saint is Saint Anthony of Padua. Fiesta is celebrated every June 12-13 and a thanksgiving celebration for a bountiful harvest every 15th day of May of every year. On June 11-12, 2014, the elementary school held its first-ever Grand Alumni Homecoming with Batch 1961 as pioneering graduates. Part of the 2-day grand event was a cultural show which featured folk dances and a Zarzuela in Waray (Abugho by Iluminado Lucente).
