Now This!

ZNFePA now LEVEL 3 DSWD Accredited Community-Based Organization

In the actual accreditation assessment conducted last April 27-28, 2022 by the DSWD Central Office Standards Bureau through its Accreditor Mr. Ferdinand Pasion Jr, ZNFePA bagged level 3 compliance, the highest score for DSWD standard requirments for its programs and services for children, youth, families, and communities. Hence, ZNFePA is now certified to have provided its program participants' quality service as this accreditation serves to attest its quality of service delivery.

ZNFePA garnered highest points of compliance in areas of Administration and Governance, Program Management, Case Management, Helping Interventions, and passing points in Office Structure and Safety. This is a greatest leap, since ZNFePA is only at Level 1 in 2016 and had been promoted to Level 3 this year. The organization is set to sustain this compliance for 7 years and a renewal thereafter.

Further, ZNFePA is the FIRST Level 3 accredited Local NGO in Region 9 and in Mindanao making its Federation Manager/Executive Director the very First Level 3 Manager for Community Based Service in the entire region. Another Milestone and History in the Making stories of ZNFePA.

The management would like to express that the organization is truly indebted of the persons who are behind this success of ZNFePA. The Regional Director of DSWD FOIX Atty. Sittie Raifah M. Pamaloy-Hassan who stayed with ZNFePA from its Stakeholders' Forum 2022 last April 26 up to the first day of actual assessment, the one and only Ms. Fe dela Cruz, Chief of Policy and Plans Division of DSWD FOIX, Ms. Myla P. Villaverde, Head of Standards Unit of the same office, Mr. Ferdinand Pasion Jr, the very articulate accreditor, the very supportive funding agency -ChildFund Philipines, the board of trustees of ZNFePA, children and youth of ZNFePA, Partners of ZNFePA and the Entire workforce of ZNFePA.

This achievement is more compensating than what the team is receiving from all of the hard work in 3 decades of service to the people.

Level 3 po Tayo!!

DSWD FO9 VISITS ZNFePA

The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office-9 through the office of Policies and Plans Division visited ZNFePA to check on its Technical Support Needed. Its Planning Expert Ms. FE DELA CRUZ herself conducted the visit to offer ZNFePA technical assistance (TA) on Strategic Planning and Long-Term Plan Development, Operations and Risks Management, and more particularly on Resource Generation and Proposal Development. These 3 major Technical Trainings are contributory to ZNFePA's Sustainability Plan and Capacity Development as the organization is providing leadership to other Social Welfare and Development agencies not just in the province but also in the entire peninsula.

The chief has also been acquainted with the different programs of the organization and how it operates. She then made several key suggestions on how it should be enhanced further and mainstreamed in the DSWD programming. She further recognized ZNFePA's effort and its significance in the social welfare and development landscape of the province. As she is known for her proficiency in her craft, the very humble division chief has even provided schedules for the technical trainings to ensure knowledge transfer to ZNFePA's rookie manager.

Area-based Standards Network was also part of the substantive discussions wherein DSWD iterated the significant role of ZNFePA as its First Regional Vice-Chair. The chief explained the need for the organization to draft annual performance targets and long-term development plan including increased monitoring visibility to ensure compliance of all SWDAs to DSWD standards.

To note that only under the leadership of Ms. Fe Dela Cruz wherein the Level 2 and Level 3 accredited SWDAs were provided with Cash Incentives after satisfying the requirements. It was also during her time where the Standards Team has been very visible on the ground.

Along with the division chief were Ms. Myla Villaverde, head of Standards Unit, Ms. Eva Avila, center head of Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth, and accompanying ZNFePA's management was Hon. Dioscoro E. Ello Sr., ZNFePA's BOT President.

The management expressed its appreciation and gratitude to the woman of red vest Ms. Fe Dela Cruz for her time to visit the humble organization despite being swamped with other commitments in the regional office-an indicator of a hands on manager and leader.

The team would like to thank as well the very active Standards Head Ms. Myla Villaverde for the support.
