The SVCIโCollege Red Cross Youth Council proudly served as responders during the Lambigit Celebration of Unity with the theme:
โ๐ข๐ป๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐, ๐ข๐ป๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ, ๐ข๐ป๐ฒ ๐ฉ๐ถ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ถ๐.โ
With dedication and readiness, our volunteers โ including members from the BEC Campus โ prepared extensively for this significant event. Prior to deployment, the team conducted training sessions and first aid refreshers with the guidance and support of the Philippine Red Cross โ Zamboanga del Norte Chapter, ensuring that all responders were equipped with the skills and confidence needed to serve the Vincentian community.
Our presence spanned the entire celebration โ from practices and general technical rehearsals to the early morning fun run, parade, street dance, stationed first aid posts, and the main program. Throughout the event, volunteers remained alert, compassionate, and ready to respond to any emergency situation.
Despite the pressure and the unfamiliarity for some first-time responders, the teams, volunteers, leaders, officers, and support personnel demonstrated courage, teamwork, and a genuine spirit of service. What may have begun with fear turned into a meaningful experience of growth, responsibility, and humanitarian action.
Lambigit Festival, which originated at St. Vincentโs College Incorporated in honor of its patron, San Vicente Ferrer, is one of the most celebrated cultural events in Dipolog City. It showcases devotion, culture, unity, and Vincentian pride โ values that the Red Cross Youth wholeheartedly supports.
By standing on the frontlines of safety and care, the SVCIโCollege RCY Council reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian service โ ready to help, ready to respond, and always guided by the spirit of volunteerism.
