The PHO team conducted Barangay Health Workers (BHW) Performance-Based Incentives Evaluation conducted on August 4, 2026, in the municipalities of Sara, Iloilo was undertaken to assess the performance, accomplishments, and contributions of BHWs in the delivery of essential health services at the community level.
Barangay Health Workers serve as vital partners of the local health system, particularly in bringing basic health services, health education, disease prevention, maternal and child health support, and other community-based interventions closer to residents. Their consistent participation and performance are essential to ensuring that health programs are effectively implemented and that community health needs are promptly addressed.
The evaluation aimed to provide an objective assessment of BHW performance based on established criteria, accomplishments, submitted reports, and their actual involvement in community health activities. It also sought to recognize BHWs who have demonstrated commitment and satisfactory performance while identifying areas that may require further support, guidance, and capacity-building.
This activity were attended by PHO Team Ma'am Vem, ma'am Malou and ma'am Irene, together with Sara PCF Staff, administrative head ma'am Jennifer & Ma'am Hazel, Medical Officer, Nurse II, RSI, BHW Municipal Coordinator Ma'am Annabelle, BHW President Ana and members.
