We inspire HOPE among people through teaching and educational materials!

We also teach English literacy workshops to Alternative Learning System (ALS) students! Hopeful Writers Studios (HWS) is an educational organization which provides English literacy workshops to Alternative Learning System (ALS) students -- these are mostly street children, out-of-school youth, and poor adult learners (such as house helpers, laundry women, street vendors, janitors, tricycle drive

rs, the unemployed, and the like) who are studying elementary-level education for the first time in their lives! We also produce short stories, poems, and videos which promote learning, instill good values, and inspire Hope among today's youth!

Last February 28, 2026, Hopeful Writers Studios successfully held its ASL English Workshop at Arnold Janssen ALS School, Sacred Heart Parish, Scout Fuentebella Street, Quezon City.

It was a fruitful and meaningful day of teaching and learning as students actively participated and gained valuable knowledge and deeper understanding of the English language. Seeing everyone engaged, confident, and eager to learn made the workshop truly fulfilling for all the volunteers and participants. 💙✍️

A heartfelt thank you to all our teacher volunteers from the University of the Philippines Preschool Practitioners, as well as our dedicated working volunteers, for sharing your time, effort, and passion in making this workshop possible. Your support and commitment continue to inspire and empower our learners. 🌟

Together, we continue to create spaces for learning, growth, and hope. 💫

Online Interview with Br. Armin Luistro, Former DepEd Secretary in the year of 2010 - 2016 💻

It was a great honor for the Hopeful Writers Studios Coalition to interview Br. Armin Luistro last February 8, 2026 😊

He shared valuable insights on key issues in Philippine education, including:

• School Curriculum and Academics
• Lack of Infrastructure and Learning Materials
• Education Budget Allocation
• Fighting Corruption in the Education Sector
• Nutrition, Health, and Students’ Rights
• Teachers’ Rights and Welfare

His perspectives gave us deeper understanding and guidance as we continue our research and advocacy for better education in the Philippines.

Merry Christmas 🎄and Happy New Year 🥳everyone! We hope that this holiday season brings love and light to everyone's hearts and homes! Let's celebrate and work together in making 2026 a time for collective action to improve the lives of people!

We are happy to announce that our Hopeful Writers Studios Education Coalition now has more than 100 volunteers, including participants from our six (6) partner organizations UP Los Banos Economics Society (UPLB EconSoc), University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) Virtus Competition League, Ateneo Special Education Society (Ateneo SPEED), UP Preschool Practitioners (UP Prep), UP Science and Mathematics Majors Advocates for Responsible Teaching (UP SMMART), and UP Educators' Circle, all of whom are united in advocating for reforms in the education sector! Thank you very much to all of our volunteers! 🙂
