We were honored to present "Pride and Solidarity: Q***r Artivism and Collective Survival" at the Digital Rights Asia and Pacific Conference (DRAPAC) 2026 in Manila. 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️
Through a diverse range of artworks, the exhibition celebrated the resilience, creativity, and authentic existence of q***r communities across Southeast Asia. Engaging with more than 500 participants, we highlighted q***r artivism as a powerful tool for collective survival, resistance, and community-building.
One of the exhibition’s most moving aspects was the interactive message board, where participants shared messages of hope, pride, and solidarity: from “Happy Pride!” and “Love Laban!” to “Baklaan Na!” and “Masaya Kapag May Bakla!” reflecting the power of collective imagination and community across the region.
We extend our deepest gratitude to EngageMedia, DAKILA, and the Foundation for Media Alternatives (FMA) for creating a platform that amplifies q***r voices and stories. We are also deeply thankful to the artists whose beautiful works made this exhibition possible: Wet Paint Dreams, Shirin Bhandari, Ron de Vera, Lance Reblando, and Gelo Zarsuelo.
Special thanks to our exhibition team—Solimar, Lini Zurlia, and Monica—for bringing this vision to life, and to everyone who visited, engaged, and shared in this collective space of pride, solidarity, and imagination.
