The Goodlife Youth Leadership Camp 2026 concluded its second and final day on July 26, 2026 at Glosh Resort, Malalag, Davao del Sur, bringing to a close two meaningful days of leadership formation, volunteerism, and youth empowerment under the theme, "The Next Move: Advancing Youth Leadership Through Volunteerism." Through the guidance of Albert C. Arroco Jr., MPA, Founding Chairman of the Goodlife Community Cares Foundation Inc., and inspired by our beloved partner Youth for Peace Movement - Davao del Sur and other youth organizations such as Youth For Peace Movement TALBOS-Santa Cruz Chapter, the camp challenged every participant to transform learning into purposeful action for their communities.
The day's learning session featured Abigail Baysac, CEPL, President of the Youth For Peace Movement (TALBOS) โ Davao del Sur Chapter and Head of the Legal Department of the Goodlife Group of Companies. Drawing from her journey as a youth leader, executive paralegal, and aspiring lawyer, she encouraged participants to embrace servant leadership, peacebuilding, and volunteerism, reminding them that every thoughtful decision has the power to create lasting and meaningful impact.
Campers then showcased their creativity, critical thinking, and leadership through the camp's literary competitions, namely the Quiz Bee, Impromptu Speaking, Project Pitching, and Poster-Making Contest. Ms. Baysac also served as one of the judges for the Impromptu Speaking, Project Pitching, and Poster-Making Contest, recognizing participants whose ideas reflected innovation, community-centered solutions, and a genuine passion for service.
After two days of healthy competition and collaboration, the final rankings were announced:
Champion - Team Knight (Service),
1st Overall - Team Bishop (Humanitarianism), 2nd Overall - Team Rook (Leadership), and;
3rd Overall - Team Pawn (Volunteerism).
More than earning awards, every team demonstrated that true leadership is measured by unity, resilience, and the willingness to serve others.
The culmination program became even more meaningful through the heartfelt inspirational message of National Auditor Al M. Cocamas, who reflected on the dedication, sacrifices, and shared experiences of the facilitators throughout the camp. He reminded participants that leadership is a lifelong journey of learning, humility, and service, encouraging them to carry the values they discovered at camp into their schools, organizations, and communities.
A defining milestone of this year's camp was the Oath of Membership administered by Executive Director Yvonne Hocamis Wabingga, formally welcoming the participants as the first-ever batch of National Members of the Goodlife Youth Movement Organization, Inc. Their induction symbolizes not only membership in the organization, but also a shared commitment to uphold the ideals of volunteerism, humanitarian service, ethical leadership, and nation-building.
As the curtains close on the Goodlife Youth Leadership Camp 2026, we extend our deepest gratitude to Albert C. Arroco Jr., MPA, CePG, Founding Chairman of GCCFI, whose enduring vision and unwavering belief in the potential of Filipino youth continue to create opportunities that inspire generations of servant leaders. We likewise thank Karl Lyndon Sabio, LPT, MPA, CePG, National President of GCCFI, for his steadfast guidance, Glosh Resort for hosting this memorable gathering, and every facilitator, volunteer, and partner who generously shared their time, expertise, and passion in shaping the next generation of Goodlife leaders.
The camp may have reached its conclusion, but its true purpose begins today. As our newest National Members return to their respective communities, may they continue making their next move with courage, compassion, and convictionโleading through volunteerism, empowering others through service, and becoming living examples that meaningful change always begins with those willing to take the first step.
