Kapatagan, Digos City โ Upholding its strong commitment to a cleaner and greener environment, Kapatagan National High School successfully underwent the Solid Waste Management (SWM) Functionality Assessment conducted by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) through the Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System, in collaboration with the Schools Division of Digos City.
The validation aimed to evaluate the schoolโs initiatives in promoting proper waste segregation, recycling practices, and sustainability programs that support the cityโs goal of achieving full compliance with the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act.
Led by Maโam Aimee Amor Porto, together with the full support of the teaching staff, SWM Committee, student leaders, SPTA, KNHS SSLG, and the students, Kapatagan NHS proudly presented its efficient waste management system, functional Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), and various eco-friendly projects within the campus.
This activity not only demonstrated the schoolโs dedication to responsible waste management but also emphasized its continuous effort to inspire students to become environmentally aware and proactive members of the community.
Through this assessment, Kapatagan National High School stands firm in its advocacy that discipline, collaboration, and environmental care are vital steps toward a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable future.
