The Bachelor of Public Administration Program of Davao del Sur State College will conduct a Training on Ethical and Inclusive Leadership on February 20, 2026, at the Tribal Hall, Brgy. Poblacion, Kiblawan, Davao del Sur, as part of the 7th Founding Anniversary activities of the College.

This activity is part of Phase 2 of the extension project “𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝘾𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨: 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙂𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙐𝙥,” supporting the Blaan Community in developing their Comprehensive and Strategic Plans.

𝐃𝐒𝐒𝐂 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐈𝐭𝐬 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐭𝐬 𝐑𝐚𝐲𝐬

With hearts full of gratitude, the Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) community once again came together to extend help beyond the campus.

Moved by compassion and a shared sense of responsibility, the DSSC Office of the President, administrative staff, faculty members, the DSSC National Service Training Program (NSTP) Office, DSSC Supreme Student Council (SSC), Bachelor of Public Administration students, other student organizations, and generous individuals united to provide assistance to the victims of a recent fire incident in Barangay San Miguel, Digos City.

Rooted in the commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), which promotes community resilience and recovery during crises, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), this humble initiative reflects the shared belief that resilience is strengthened when institutions and communities support one another in times of need.

This was made possible through the collective efforts of the DSSC community, where every contribution was offered with sincerity and care. The outpouring of support served as a quiet reminder that service does not always come in grand gestures but often through shared compassion and willingness to stand with others in difficult times, especially those that hold space in the academic institution.

Beyond promoting academic excellence, DSSC remains thankful for the opportunity to live out its core values, S.M.A.R.T. (Service with Integrity, Mindfulness of Others, Accountability, Respect, and Teamwork). With this act of service, the institution reaffirms its gratitude for a community that chooses kindness, unity, and empathy as guiding lights.

📢 CALL FOR EXTENSION PROPOSALS (CY 2027 Funding)

In line with the College’s commitment to community engagement and evidence-based interventions, faculty members are invited to submit research-based extension proposals for Calendar Year (CY) 2027 funding, translating research outputs into meaningful and sustainable community programs.

📌 Submission Guidelines:
Kindly submit your proposal to your respective College Extension Coordinator for review and endorsement. Endorsed proposals will be forwarded to the Extension Office for final submission.

The Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) is humbly asking for your kind hearts and generosity to support the families affected by the recent house fire incident in Odaca, San Miguel, Digos City, including our BPA student, Baby Jean Villarosa. In this time of difficulty, DSSC is accepting donations in kind, such as clothes, food, and basic necessities, to help the affected families recover and rebuild their lives. Any form of assistance, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated. Donations may be dropped off at the NSTP Office, please look for Sir Jovelle Bandaan. Let us come together as one DSSC community to extend. 🤍

Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) held a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony on January 26, 2026, during the Monday Convocation at the DSSC Gymnasium. The activity formalized the allocation of funding for approved extension projects under the Extension and Community Relations Office, through agreements between the project leaders and College President Dr. Augie E. Fuentes.

DSSC Extension Program Exceeds Expectations: A Year of Outstanding Accomplishments in 2025

Davao del Sur State College (DSSC) has set a remarkable standard in its Extension and Community Services throughout 2025, surpassing its goals and significantly contributing to local community development.

A key achievement this year was the dramatic increase in participation, with 2,755 participants registered in training programs, far exceeding the initial target of 1,000. This rise in engagement reflects the growing demand for DSSC’s educational offerings and showcases the impact of its initiatives. In line with the college’s commitment to quality, all participants rated the training courses as "satisfactory or higher," achieving a perfect 100% satisfaction rate, well above the 85% target.

In addition to its success in training programs, DSSC significantly expanded its extension services. The college successfully established and sustained 16 extension programs and projects, exceeding the original goal of 5, demonstrating DSSC’s commitment to community engagement and long-term sustainability. The number of students involved in these programs reached 669, surpassing the goal of 300, which highlighted the growing role of students in meaningful community work. Moreover, DSSC forged partnerships for extension programs and projects with 18 organizations, surpassing its target of 10 strengthening its collaborative network and broadening its outreach.

These accomplishments are further reflected in DSSC’s funding and resource mobilization efforts. In 2025, the college secured a total of ₱690,000 in internal funding for its projects, marking a significant increase compared to previous years. Externally, DSSC's projects garnered ₱12,000,000 in funding, showcasing the growing support from external stakeholders and further solidifying the college’s role in driving community development.

Beyond the statistics, DSSC’s involvement in volunteerism and sustainability initiatives was particularly noteworthy in 2025. DSSC’s Extension and Community Services in 2025 have far exceeded expectations. The college’s success in training, volunteerism, partnerships, and sustainability reflects its dedication to holistic community development. With its continued commitment to service and outreach, DSSC remains a leader in fostering meaningful change and empowering local communities, paving the way for a more inclusive and resilient future.
