🩸 Rotary Club of Digos Supports Goodlife Community Cares Foundation's Blood Letting Program

Today, August 8, 2026, the Rotary Club of Digos proudly joined the Goodlife Community Cares Foundation in its Blood Letting Program held at Yummy's Grill, San Jose, Digos City.

This meaningful initiative supports the government's continuing efforts to ensure an adequate and readily available blood supply for Filipinos in need of lifesaving blood transfusions. Every blood donor represents hope, compassion, and the gift of life.

The activity was conducted in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, 39th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army, the Philippine National Police, and various civic and private organizations, demonstrating the power of collaboration in serving our communities.

Together, we continue to uphold Rotary's commitment to Service Above Self by helping save lives—one blood donation at a time.

🌟 SERVICE ABOVE SELF IN ACTION! 🌟

In celebration of the 28th Araw ng Barangay Hagonoy Crossing, the Rotary Club of Digos was honored to serve our beloved community during the Medical Mission last July 24, 2026, conducted by the Provincial Government of Davao del Sur! 💙💛

To complement the free medical consultations, check-ups, and medicines provided by the Provincial Government, your Rotary family spearheaded two special outreach initiatives:

🥣 LIBRENG LUGAW — Serving hot, nutritious porridge to keep our patients, kids, seniors, and hard-working volunteers nourished throughout the day!
✂️ LIBRENG GUPIT — Bringing fresh smiles and free grooming services to our community members, helping families save on daily expenses!

A huge thank you to the Provincial Government of Davao del Sur, our dedicated medical personnel, local barangay officials, and all our Rotarian volunteers who offered their time and heart to make this event a success.

Creating Lasting Impact Through Compassion and Service

The Rotary Club of Digos, led by Club President Ian Razonable-Tejero together with the club members, successfully conducted its Flagship Maternal and Child Health Project at the Davao del Sur Provincial Hospital, Digos City.

The outreach brought hope and assistance to approximately 50 mothers and children at the Outpatient Department (OPD) through the provision of essential support and care. More than the material assistance extended, the activity reflected Rotary's enduring commitment to uplifting lives and promoting healthier communities.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the generosity and unwavering support of our fellow Rotarians and partners whose contributions transformed compassion into concrete action.

To everyone who shared their time, resources, and hearts—thank you for making this project a success. Together, we continue to embody Service Above Self and prove that when we unite in service, we truly Create Lasting Impact.

The Rotary Club of Digos held its regular Officers and Board of Directors Meeting on July 17, 2026, at Coffee Spot, Yummy's Resto Bar.

The meeting was presided over by Club President Ian R. Tejero, where officers and directors discussed recent accomplishments, upcoming club activities, and key priorities for Rotary Year 2026–2027 under the theme "Create Lasting Impact."

The club was also honored by the presence of visiting Rotarian Janet Jaja Valderosa, Chairwoman Rotary Community Care District 3860 from the Rotary Club of Waling-Waling, who joined the meeting to strengthen fellowship and explore opportunities for collaboration and co-creation of impactful service projects among the clubs in Area 2, Rotary International District 3860.

Together, we continue to build stronger partnerships, foster meaningful service, and create lasting impact in our communities.
