Looking back on our recent Tambayayong | Stakeholders’ Townhall: The Ripples of Collective Action, we are reminded of the power of partnership and the quiet transformations happening within our communities 🌱

From strengthened confidence to reimagined futures, these stories reflect what Tambayayong is all about—coming together to create opportunities where they matter most.

“Before, students were different. But with your help and the teachers, their confidence has truly transformed. ” – Dr. Romina Rusillion-Sajulga, Vice Mayor, Municipality of General Luna

Those who continue to pursue their dreams despite distance, limited resources, and everyday challenges. It is a powerful reminder that while their realities may be difficult, their determination can shape a future far beyond those limitations.

“Their circumstances do not define their future, but their determination will. The challenges they face today are not barriers; they are stepping stones that will make them stronger, wiser, and more resilient individuals.” – Manuel O. Caberte, SDS DepEd Siargao

In Siargao, getting to school takes more than distance. It takes determination.

We spoke with DepEd Siargao Schools Division Superintendent Manuel O. Caberte and LGU General Luna Vice Mayor Dra. Romina Rusillion-Sajulga on how education serves as a bridge for children in island communities, opening opportunities, shaping futures, and empowering them to dream beyond the horizon.

Because here, dreams are not defined by geography, but by the opportunities we build together. 💙🌊

This World Health Day, with the theme “Together for health. Stand with science” we celebrate the power of community care—transforming daily nourishment with shared knowledge and collective action. 💙🤲

To give children equal opportunity to dream is to prioritize their nutrition. Since 2023, our Nutrition Program has served 81,550 nutritious meals to students, ensuring that children are not only in school, but are fueled to learn, grow, and dream.

Beyond the classroom, we continue to strengthen families and communities through learning. Through the 13 sessions of GANA sa Isla workshops, parents and students have come together to understand nutrition, hygiene, and everyday practices that protect their well-being. As of today 8 nanays have stepped forward—gaining skills, confidence, and becoming champions of health within their own homes and community through our Internship Program co-designed with .

To further support the community, we gathered and celebrated local recipes from nanays using ingredients sourced from the island through the GANA sa Isla Cookbook, and have distributed 127 copies to date.
