The ongoing fuel crisis greatly affects the prices of vegetables and basic commodities, especially in island communities like Del Carmen and Siargao.

Because of this, strengthening household food production through home gardening has become more important than ever.

In times of rising fuel prices and increasing transportation costs, access to affordable and nutritious food has become more challenging for many families. The ongoing fuel crisis greatly affects the prices of vegetables and basic commodities, especially in island communities like Del Carmen and Siargao.

Because of this, strengthening household food production through home gardening has become more important than ever.

As part of the 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙏𝙪𝙗𝙤: 𝙃𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙄𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚, a component of the iTANOM Project under SGP-7, we proudly present the Top 11 Home Garden Entries from Barangay Mabuhay, Del Carmen, Surigao del Norte.

These inspiring households transformed their homes into productive food spaces using indigenous knowledge, recycled materials, and family cooperation to help ensure food availability despite economic and environmental challenges. 🥬🍆🌿
