The USeP - University Student Government is the highest democratic student governing body in the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) where sovereignty resides in the students, and student government authority emanates from them. This is the body that serves as an active voice of the students to help bring up their grievances to the proper authorities to realize their collective interests further, and ensure that all decisions and acts shall always be reflective and beneficial to all students. Furthermore, the IJSeP-USG promotes unity and fosters kin relationship among students and other sectors of the society to instill national consciousness for the advancement of the Filipino people. The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) informs the public and the USeP community that a fraudulent email account is impersonating USeP President Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr.

The fraudulent email address identified is: [email protected]

The sender is using the President’s name and photograph and may send messages that appear to come from the President, including requests for money, financial assistance, or other transactions.

Please be advised that this is NOT an official email address of the University President or of the University of Southeastern Philippines.

The University President does not solicit money, donations, or financial assistance from individuals or organizations, nor does he authorize or consent to the use of his name, position, or photograph for any such solicitation.

The University also cautions that other fraudulent email accounts may be created using the President’s name, photograph, or similar identifiers.

PLEASE BE VIGILANT
If you receive a suspicious message purportedly from the President:
❌ Do not respond to the sender.
❌ Do not send money or make any payment.
❌ Do not provide bank details, passwords, personal information, or other sensitive information.
❌ Do not click on links or open attachments from suspicious or unverified accounts.
✅ Verify any unusual request directly with the Office of the President through the official email address: [email protected]

Please do not rely solely on the sender’s name, profile photo, or other identifying information to determine whether a message is legitimate.

The USeP community and the public are urged to exercise extra caution and vigilance to prevent fraud, unauthorized transactions, and the disclosure of sensitive information.

For verification, please use only the official communication channels of the University.

The USeP USG Executive Department, together with its Adviser Mr. Rizalino O. Dela Torre Jr. and USG Legislative Advisor Eduardo M. Sato Jr., attended CCOnklusyon 2026 held on October 2, 2026, at the University Gymnasium and Cultural Center (UGCC), Obrero Campus. The event marked the culmination of the 41st Council of Clubs and Organizations' term for Academic Year 2025–2026, celebrating their milestones and accomplishments throughout the year.

As part of the occasion, USeP USG President Banias administered the oath of office to the newly elected officers of the 42nd Council of Clubs and Organizations, formally welcoming them into their new roles and responsibilities.

The USeP USG congratulates the 41st Council on a legacy well served and extends its warmest welcome to the incoming 42nd Council as they begin their own journey of service.

𝗨𝗦𝗲𝗣 𝗨𝗦𝗚 | 𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴

The USG Executive Department, together with the Student Council Presidents, convened on September 25, 2026, to discuss preparations for the upcoming 5th USG Congress. The session also covered the results of the survey on the proposed rescheduling of midterm examinations and mental health break, the observance of Family Day, and the planned strike in response to rising gasoline prices.

USG President Ralph Banias gave an update on his recent visit to the USeP Obrero Campus to follow up on documents needed for the annual University Leadership Enhancement Training (ULET), as well as the upcoming participation in the PACSA National Convention.

[𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜] 𝗢𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 | 𝗨𝗦𝗲𝗣 𝗨𝗦𝗚 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔.𝗬. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳

On September 14, 2026, Ms. Sophia P. Suarez, Ms. Dowy Faith Cuesta, and Ms. Crystal Nice P. Tano took their oath as Vice President for Business Correspondence and Records, Vice President for Finance, and Vice President for Audit and Logistics, respectively, of the University Student Government – Executive Department at the Office of Student Affairs and Services, USeP TMC, Tagum Unit. The Oath of Office was administered by USG President Mr. Ralph Banias, and facilitated by OSAS Tagum Unit Coordinator Ms. Rizane B. Lui.

In taking their oath, they pledged not only to fulfill the duties of their office, but to carry them with honesty, humility, and an unwavering sense of accountability to the student body they now serve.

May this moment be a lasting reminder of the trust placed in their hands and the responsibility that comes with it. To our newly sworn officers, may your service be marked by integrity in every decision and steadfastness in every duty, as we move forward together in this new term.

[𝗜𝗖𝗬𝗠𝗜] 𝗢𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 | 𝗨𝗦𝗲𝗣 𝗨𝗦𝗚 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿

Mr. Eduardo M. Sato Jr. was formally sworn in as Legislative Advisor of the University Student Government on September 7, 2026, at the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), USeP Obrero Campus. The oath was administered by USG President Ralph R. Banias, with the presence of USeP OSAS Director Dr. Jose Alther M. Rivera.

With this, he now takes on the work of guiding USG through its legislative matters, helping the body find its way back to a fully working Congress. It's a role that asks for patience and good judgment, and we're glad to have someone willing to take it on for the students.

The University of Southeastern Philippines joins the global observance of the International Day of Sign Languages every September 23, recognizing the importance of sign languages in advancing communication, inclusion, and the equal participation of Deaf People in society.

For educational institutions, accessible communication is essential to creating learning environments where Deaf Learners can participate fully and pursue their aspirations. At USeP, Deaf Graduates have excelled in their academic pursuits, including those who have earned Latin honors and gone on to pursue professional careers. Their accomplishments reflect what inclusive and accessible higher education can make possible for Deaf Learners.

These achievements are part of the University's continuing commitment to providing meaningful opportunities for Deaf Learners to participate, excel, and contribute to their communities.

In the Philippines, Republic Act No. 11106, or the Filipino Sign Language Act, recognizes Filipino Sign Language (FSL) as the national sign language and calls on State Universities and Colleges to promote FSL awareness, competency, research, development, and preservation.

On this International Day of Sign Languages, USeP recognizes the achievements of Deaf Learners and the importance of advancing an educational environment that respects linguistic diversity, promotes accessibility, and upholds the rights and participation of every learner.

The Executive Department of USeP University Student Government paid a courtesy visit to the USeP TMC Chancellor, Dr. Shirley S. Villanueva, last September 14, 2026 at the Administration Building, USeP TMC, Tagum Unit.

Present during the courtesy call were USG President Ralph Banias, USG VP for Internal and External Affairs, Reymark P. Nesperos, USG VP for Secretariat and Business Correspondence and Records Sophia P. Suarez, USG VP for Finance Dowy Faith Cuesta, USG VP for Audit and Logistics Crystal Nice P. Tano, and USG VP for Publication and Information Aldrae L. Bayod.

The conversation touched on several priorities for the first semester of AY 2026-2027, and among them the push to bring student organizations back to their former structure, plans geared toward environmental initiatives, and a proposal to launch more student-led activities. The officers also shared with the Chancellor initial plans into what's ahead, including preparations for the upcoming USG Congress.

Ultimately, the Executive Department hopes to deliver genuine active work to foster open communication and collaboration from Campus Management with the University Administration as it keeps student concerns part of every conversation on campus decisions and development.
