[𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬] In view of the recent earthquake experienced in Davao City and neighboring provinces and in compliance with the declarations issued by the respective Local Government Units (LGUs), onsite work and classes in the University are SUSPENDED on June 8, 2026.

To ensure operational continuity while prioritizing everyone’s safety, the University will implement the following guideliness across campuses:

❗Shift to Work-from-Home (WFH). Upon the lifting of the localized LGU suspensions, the University will implement a WFH arrangement for all personnel, including Contract of Service (COS), Job Order (JO), and outsourced workers, until further notice.

❗Academic Arrangements
>Instructional Delivery Arrangements. Upon the lifting of the localized LGU suspensions, delivery of instruction shall shift to online synchronous or asynchronous modality, until further notice.

>Extension of Academic Deadline. The deadline for the submission of all requirements due on June 8, 2026, including the posting of grades, petition courses for the Off-Semester Term, accomplished INC Completion Forms, and thesis/dissertation abstract and approval sheets, is extended to June 9, 2026. All other submission deadlines shall remain unchanged and shall be implemented as originally prescribed.

>Electronic Signatures. Given the current circumstances and possible limitations on physical mobility and office access, electronic signatures on thesis/dissertation abstracts and approval sheets shall be temporarily accepted for purposes of evaluating compliance with graduation requirements and inclusion in the official list of candidates for graduation. However, the final hardbound copies shall bear the required original handwritten signatures.

❗Use of Online Systems
All University online systems shall remain available and accessible to support academic and administrative continuity during alternative work and class arrangements.

All transacting clients are encouraged to utilize online pay

Due to the recent earthquake experienced in Davao City, classes at all levels, both public and private institutions, and work in all local and national government offices within the city are hereby suspended effective immediately, today, June 8, 2026.

Private offices and institutions are likewise encouraged to do the same to ensure the welfare and safety of their employees .

[𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧] Please be informed that 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗗 𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗟 𝗙𝗨𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘 to give way to a thorough safety inspection of all campus buildings.

We urge the entire community to strictly follow these safety protocols:

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹:Please head home as soon as you are ready and it is safe to travel. If you cannot commute safely just yet, please stay in the campus's safe, open grounds in the meantime.

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗥𝗥𝗠 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺: Please conduct an immediate clearing operations to ensure no one is left inside any classrooms or offices.

𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆: Please unplug all electrical appliances and equipment, or shut off the circuit breakers in your areas before leaving.

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘀: Coordinate immediately with the OCBO or CEO to schedule and execute the building inspections.

𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥: Everyone is advised NOT to report back to campus until a formal advisory is issued declaring that it is safe to return.

[𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬] The Off-Semester SY 2025-2026 enrollment period is EXTENDED until June 9, 2026.

Start of Classes:
❗Undergraduate, MEC, and CEBB: June 4, 2026
❗Graduate School: June 6, 2026

Off-semester classes and related activities shall proceed as scheduled. Faculty members shall provide the necessary academic support to students enrolling during the extended enrollment period, while students are expected to attend classes immediately and complete any missed lessons and academic requirements.

𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒

We are reaching out to your kind hearts on behalf of Mr. Serafin Foronda III, our current USeP USG President and a graduating fourth-year student, who is currently facing a severe medical crisis.

Serafin was recently diagnosed with a Type IV Hiatal Hernia, a rare and critical condition where the stomach and other abdominal organs migrate into the chest cavity through the diaphragm. Due to the high risk of complications, he requires immediate, urgent surgery.

The estimated cost for his hospitalization, surgery, and subsequent treatment is approximately ₱350,000—a financial burden that is heavy for his family to bear alone.

Serafin has dedicated his university life to serving others. In this time of great need, we humbly seek your financial assistance to help give him the fighting chance he deserves. Any amount you can contribute will go a long way toward his medical treatment and full recovery.

[𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬] The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) community extends its warmest greetings and well wishes to our Muslim brothers and sisters as we celebrate Eid al-Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, on 27 May 2026, pursuant to Proclamation No. 1264, s. 2026 declaring its nationwide observance.

Eid al-Adha is one of the two major feasts of Islam and is observed in the Philippines as a regular holiday pursuant to Republic Act No. 9849, which provides that the tenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah of the Islamic calendar shall be a national holiday, with a movable date.

As a state university committed to nation-building, USeP recognizes that respect for faith, culture, and diversity is central to building a just and inclusive society. Eid al-Adha reminds the community of the enduring values of sacrifice, compassion, and service to others.

May this occasion also serve as a call for reflection and action, where we reaffirm our commitment to education as a force for social good, and to shaping graduates who are not only skilled professionals but also conscientious citizens working for the common good.

Let us continue to build a university community grounded in respect, unity, and shared purpose, where differences in faith and tradition become a source of strength in advancing meaningful nation-building.

The final day of TAMBAYAYUNG 2026 concluded with hearts full of gratitude and compassion as the USeP Tagum Unit community continued its mission of students helping students through bayanihan and service.

For Day 4, the initiative provided the following support to our fellow USePians:

🌾 FREE Uncooked Rice for students needing assistance to sustain the remaining days of the week

Though simple in form, these acts of kindness carried meaningful impact and served as reminders that compassion, solidarity, and shared responsibility remain alive within our academic community.

The University Student Government (USG), together with the Tagum Student Council (TSC), Local Councils, volunteers, sponsors, and generous donors, extends its sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and resources for the success of this initiative.

Your generosity became a source of encouragement and support to many students.
As TAMBAYAYUNG 2026 officially concludes, may this initiative continue to inspire a culture of empathy, service, and bayanihan among USePians.

𝐔𝐒𝐞𝐏 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐦 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐓𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐲𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The University Student Government (USG), in partnership with the Tagum Student Council (TSC) and the Local Councils (LC), officially launched Tambayayung 2026 today, May 18, 2026. This initiative aims to provide in-kind support to students facing difficulties through different services which include water-refilling stations, coffee breaks, cooked and uncooked rice distribution, meal assistance, counseling and listening spaces, and stress-relief activities like free hugs and a singing area.

Students are encouraged to visit the Tambayayung Booth in front of the Campus Library from May 18 to May 22, 2026.

Through the efforts of various sponsors, faculty and staff members, and volunteer students, Tambayayung 2026 promotes the University core value of collaboration and the spirit of bayanihan, reminding every USePian that no student should face challenges alone.
