In an interview with Miss Jannah Rasheya Tolentino, one of the facilitators of the Design Thinking Workshop, she highlighted how participants were encouraged to break patterns, unlearn what they already know, and come in with an open mind.

This shift in mindset allowed them to see problems from fresh perspectives—moving away from familiar ways of thinking and toward more human-centered, meaningful solutions. Through openness, collaboration, and curiosity, participants were able to embrace a process that values understanding just as much as creating.

During the Design Thinking Workshop held last April 24–25, 2026, Ar. Alexander Abear, who served as the lead facilitator, shared how participants were able to shift their perspectives and embrace a more human problem-centered approach to innovation.

The workshop encouraged participants to look beyond creating ideas alone and focus more on understanding real-world challenges, identifying who benefits from their solutions, and developing ideas that create genuine impact. Through collaboration, empathy, and critical thinking, participants gained valuable insights on designing solutions that are not only innovative, but also purposeful and community-driven.
