𝗠𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸!: 𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗔 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗲-𝗧𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽

The 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗔) conducted a workshop for its 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬, training them on the essential skills in ensuring they are on deck for event preparation and production. Spearheaded by 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘇, the 𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗔 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, and attended by 𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗶 𝗔𝗱𝗹𝗮𝗼𝗻, the 𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗔 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱, CESA invited 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗱 𝗘𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗮, the 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗔 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 ‘𝟮𝟯-‘𝟮𝟰 and 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗛𝗔 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, to share his experience and knowledge as a long-standing technical personnel.

The workshop provided a rundown of the roles and technical lingo one typically encounters in a production to facilitate understanding of the event flow before moving on to a hands-on demonstration of relevant software, such as VMix and Virtual DJ. Emphasis was also placed on technical readiness, personal discretion, and timing, highlighting the technical committee's main objective: to deliver a production that is engaging at all times and to always have contingencies for events outside the given matrix.

By the end of the workshop, attendees were given time to collaborate and prepare to simulate a small section of a production, applying what they had learned firsthand. Ultimately, the workshop provided an avenue for the new CESA Technical Committee members to hone their technical skills, preparing them to contribute significantly to future CESA productions.

𝐒𝐢𝐲𝐞𝐧𝐒𝐚𝐲𝐚: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐒𝐄 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The 𝐂𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐀), in partnership with the 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧’𝐬 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐒𝐄), is honored to support the 𝐒𝐢𝐲𝐞𝐧𝐒𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 in making a meaningful difference in the lives of the learners of 𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐨 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥.

The organization believes that even the simplest acts of amplifying the cause, contributing in our own way, and listening to the stories of our fellow learners can go a long way. Let us remind these learners that 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐠 because their future matters.

As 𝐒𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭, we heed the call to serve and stand with this cause.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗮𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 ₱𝟭𝟴𝟬: 𝗡𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼’𝘀 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗮 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗸 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲

Some stories begin with a cup. LOVINGGABRIEL's began with one he chose not to buy.

The 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 - 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗨𝗦𝗲𝗣-𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗔) proudly congratulates 𝗡𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗜𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗖. 𝗧𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼, a first-year Civil Engineering student, for earning the Featured Piece distinction in Tipik: A Yano Literary Series by The Collegiate Headlight through his piece, “𝗜 𝗞𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗜 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱.”

Given the simple weekly prompt “Milktea,” Niel did more than write about a drink. He turned an ordinary cup into a reflection on belonging, financial struggle, homesickness, friendship, and the quiet weight of a mother’s sacrifice. Through memories of counting his last bills, saying “sige” when he meant “I can’t.” Eventually, as he walked away from the milktea shop on Iñigo Street, he found a story about choosing himself without guilt.

Perhaps that is what makes the piece worthy of its feature, the milktea was never really about the drink. It was about the price he once believed he had to pay just to belong.

And in the end, Niel discovered that belonging cannot and should not be bought by the cup.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗡𝗶𝗲𝗹! May this be more than a feature on a page—it may be the beginning of many more stories that deserve to be read, felt, and remembered.

From the drafting table to the literary page, CESA celebrates a future engineer whose pen knows how to build, too.

The 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗔) hosted its 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟰 to equip new Creatives Committee members with essential skills for impactful work. Initiated by 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘇, the 𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗔 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁, and 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗻, the 𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗔 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱, the workshop provided an introduction to the creative process, relevant software, and the importance of constructive critique.

Also, 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗯𝘆𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝘀𝗼𝗻, the 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗩𝗣 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀; 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗻, 𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗔 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹/𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿; and 𝗥𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆𝗹 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼, the 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱, were invited to share insights from their experiences and works as well as offer tutorials to enhance participants' creative workflows. Additionally, the workshop encouraged the new members to present their works for discussion, fostering an environment of feedback and collaborative learning.

Moreover, key components included discussions on the "Idea – Output – Process," software introductions, and a Creatives Critique session that emphasized the value of understanding purpose and intent in creative work. Overall, the workshop laid a foundation for the newly inducted members, preparing them to contribute effectively to the CESA community through their creativity and collaboration.

The 𝗨𝗦𝗲𝗣 – 𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗨𝗦𝗲𝗣-𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗔) proudly took part in the recent 𝗝𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗘-𝗗𝗖 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆. The 𝗨𝗦𝗲𝗣-𝗖𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗨𝗦𝗲𝗣-𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗔) recently participated in 𝗝𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗘-𝗗𝗖 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗴 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, focused on "𝗔 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗘-𝗗𝗖 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗶𝗱". In participation by the 𝗨𝗦𝗲𝗣-𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗔, the 𝗦𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 represented the organization, engaging in discussions to enhance their leadership skills and explore innovative civil engineering solutions. This event also offered them valuable networking opportunities with professionals in the field.

Pagtatag 2026 was both a learning experience and a platform for networking, where participants were encouraged to connect and exchange ideas, enhancing their collective knowledge. Correspondingly, the Sibilyano delegates made meaningful contributions by working alongside student leaders from various universities, participating in team-building activities, and attending a leadership workshop. These experiences fostered dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of diverse perspectives, equipping attendees with practical leadership skills that extend beyond the classroom.

Through Pagtatag 2026, the Sibilyano delegates gained essential knowledge and skills to empower their academic and professional journeys. More than an avenue for leadership development, the experience reinforced the value of collaboration, adaptability, and purposeful leadership in shaping the future of Civil Engineering.
