The Geodetic Engineering Students' Society (GESS) is a pivotal organization of BS Geodetic Engineering students of the University and the industry with the mission to initiate activities and programs that enhance the interest of Geodetic Engineering students enrolled in the University, and to advocate institutional development among its members through alumni connections, industry collaborations, and student-related activities.

The members of GESS participated in the National Geodetic Engineering Summit 2026 (NatGES), held on April 10โ€“11, 2026 at the UP Film Center, University of the Philippines Diliman. The event, organized by the UP Geodetic Engineering Club, brought together students and professionals in the field to learn, connect, and share experiences.

With the theme โ€œBeyond Boundaries, Into New Frontiers,โ€ the summit highlighted how the field continues to grow through new technologies and opportunities.

USeP-Geodetic Engineering Students Society (GESS) proudly recognizes the exceptional performance of its participants at the National Geodetic Engineering Summit 2026 (NatGES). Held on April 10โ€“11, 2026, at the UP Film Center, University of the Philippines Diliman, with this yearโ€™s summit theme โ€œBeyond Boundaries, Into New Frontiers,โ€ highlighting the evolving role of geodetic engineers in a rapidly advancing, technology-driven landscape.

Exhibiting mastery and technical expertise, the team brought home top honors in various competitions. Roxy Blue De Jesus, Albert Hans Lipura, and Joyce Kristie Fernandez secured the Championship title in the GE Ka Na Ba? - National GE Quiz Show. Meanwhile, Michelle Dawn L. Ureta placed as 1st Runner-Up in the Instrument Set-Up Challenge.

These accomplishments stand as a testament to USePโ€™s commitment to academic excellence and professional competence, reflecting the high standards of training and preparation that empower students to rise to challenges and set new benchmarks in their fields.

A resounding congratulations to the outstanding participants of the USeP - Geodetic Engineering Students Society (USeP-GESS) for their remarkable achievements at NatGES x GESC 2025, from May 9-10, 2025 at the University of the Philippines Diliman!

GESS once again demonstrated its commitment to academic excellence as Niron James F. Abas, Kenneth S. Castillo, and Bernette Nichole L. Emperua secured ๐’๐ž๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐ž in the Quiz Show. This marks the third consecutive year that the organization has ranked among the Top 3 in this competition.

Continuing its tradition of excellence, GESS proudly claimed for the second time the ๐‚๐ก๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ข๐จ๐ง title in the Mapmaking and Presentation competition through the outstanding work of Vanessa Jean S. Camasura, Renz Caroline H. Garbin, and Khem G. Marquiza, who presented their entry titled "๐๐จ๐ฐ๐ž๐ซ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ญ ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐›๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ƒ๐ž๐ง๐ฌ๐ž ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐ญ-๐”๐ฉ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ง ๐Œ๐ข๐ง๐๐š๐ง๐š๐จ."

Moreover, Lee A. Bangelisan, Darleen Jade C. Lasat, and Ellan Gwen S. Members of Geodetic Engineering Students Society (GESS) attended the National Geodetic Engineering Summit x Geodetic Engineering Student Conference (NatGESxGESC) from May 9-10, 2025 at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.

This year's conference, themed "Avantis: Advancing Sustainability through Innovation in Geomatics", highlighted the vital role of modern geospatial technologies in promoting sustainable development. The delegates participated in technical talks and panel discussions, focused on integrating cutting-edge geomatic solutions, such as LiDAR, remote sensing, and GIS.

The event also fostered networking and collaboration among geodetic engineering schools and practitioners, strengthening professional unity and innovation, as student leaders participated during the Student Leader Conference, where an open forum was made to discuss concerns and future steps in fostering a network of Geodetic Engineer aspirants across the country.

USeP-GESS's participation in the two-day conference marks a milestone in its commitment to excellence in geodetic engineering educating and empowering future engineers and spatial data scientist to build a more sustainable Philippines and world.

The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) is the official venue and event partner for the Space Science and Technology Applications (SSTA) Exhibit taking place on March 25-27, 2025, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Social Hall, USeP Obrero Campus, Davao City.

To facilitate the smooth conduct of the event, the entry and exit points of exhibit attendees will be at the TLE Building across Porras Street. Students and designated faculty-in-charge are advised to wear their School IDs upon entrance.

All attendees are encouraged to adhere to the University guidelines to maintain a smooth and organized event experience:

โ€ข Do not bring single use plastics
โ€ข No smoking
โ€ข Do not bring large bags/backpacks
โ€ข Wearing of jackets and sunglasses is strongly discouraged
โ€ข Do not bring/consume alcoholic drinks
โ€ข Do not bring/use laser light
โ€ข No bomb jokes and bringing of weapons or any dangerous, sharp objects
