The Catholic Church recognizes multiple "miracles" most prominently connected to Saint Candida Maria of Jesus (1845–1912), the Spanish foundress of the Congregation of the Daughters of Jesus.

Her path to sainthood involved strictly documented, medically inexplicable healings investigated by the Vatican's Congregation for the Causes of Saints.

The Official Canonization

▪︎ MiraclesThe Beatification

Miracle: This medical miracle was formally investigated in Spain and validated by the Vatican on December 17, 1983. Medical experts and theologians subsequently verified the unexplainable nature of the cure. This led to her beatification by Pope John Paul II on May 12, 1996.

▪︎ The Canonization Miracle: A second miracle was meticulously reviewed by a specialized medical panel, a theological panel, and prelate members. It received its final papal validation on July 3, 2009. This officially cleared the way for Pope Benedict XVI to canonize her as a saint on October 17, 2010.

▪︎ Spiritual and Folk Devotions

Intercession for Childbirth: Beyond official canonization records, modern devotees regularly seek her intercession for pregnancy. The Congregation of the Daughters of Jesus notes a strong tradition of married women conceiving after praying with her holy card and rosary.

▪︎ Vision of the Foundress:

Devotees also consider her early mystical experiences miraculous. On April 2, 1869, she experienced a profound spiritual vision before the altar of the Holy Family at the Church of El Rosarillo. This vision gave her the divine mandate to found her educational order despite being poor and entirely uneducated
