The Mandug Integrated Gender Association (MIGA) successfully held its First General Meeting and Orientation, focusing on health awareness, unity, and inclusivity, in partnership with Higala โ€“ LGBT Davao City Coalition Inc. The program gathered community members in a safe and welcoming space where everyone felt accepted, respected, and valued.

Representatives from Higala served as guest speakers during the activity. They discussed the importance of HIV awareness, prevention, and regular testing. They also shared essential information on safe practices, available health services, and the importance of eliminating stigma and discrimination surrounding HIV. Their discussion encouraged participants to take responsibility for their health while continuing to support and uplift one another.

One of the highlights of the program was the free HIV screening offered to participants. This initiative raised awareness and reminded people that knowing your health status is a vital step toward a healthy, responsible lifestyle.

Beyond health education, the event also became a celebration of friendship, love, and community spirit. It highlighted the importance of unity in creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all.
