🚑 MEDICAL RESPONSE | BODY WEAKNESS

At 1:40 PM on October 8, 2026, the Mandug Search and Rescue Action Team (MSRAT) responded to a medical emergency involving a 96-year-old male experiencing body weakness at Pioneer St., DDF Village, Barangay Mandug.

Our responders immediately provided assistance at the scene, with BDRRMC Co-Chair Kgwd. Nil Dwight Mitra also present during the response. The patient was subsequently transported to Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) for further medical evaluation and treatment.

Under the leadership of Punong Barangay Rey V. Ototan and BDRRMC Co-Chair Kgwd. Nil Dwight Mitra, MSRAT continues to provide immediate assistance to residents in times of medical emergencies.

🚑 SIMEX | EARTHQUAKE DRILL — VIDEO COVERAGE

On September 10, 2026, the Mandug Search and Rescue Action Team (MSRAT) participated in the Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) Earthquake Drill at T. Awad Echevarria Elementary School, in coordination with PS13 Mandug.

Our Disaster Response Vehicle (DRV) was deployed during the exercise, supporting the simulation and strengthening coordination and emergency response preparedness.

🚑 SIMEX | EARTHQUAKE DRILL

Under the leadership of Punong Barangay Rey V. Ototan and BDRRMC Co-Chair Kgwd. Nil Dwight Mitra, the Mandug Search and Rescue Action Team (MSRAT) participated in a Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) Earthquake Drill on September 10, 2026, at T. Awad Echevarria Elementary School.

🚑 DPRAT TRAINING FOR STUDENT LEADERS

Under the leadership of Punong Barangay Rey V. Ototan and BDRRMC Co-Chair Kgwd. Nil Dwight Mitra, the Mandug Search and Rescue Action Team (MSRAT), in strong partnership with the Disaster Preparedness and Rescue Action Team (DPRAT), participated in the DPRAT Training for Student Leaders held at Pilar Rodriguez Elementary School, Barangay Tigatto, from September 10–12, 2026.

The training was conducted as part of the Leadership Training for Cluster 15 Student Leaders, equipping young leaders with essential knowledge and skills in disaster preparedness, emergency response, and leadership.

MSRAT and DPRAT have maintained a strong partnership for many years, working together in promoting disaster preparedness and building a culture of readiness among the youth and the community.

We are grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting our young student leaders and strengthening our partnership in the service of the community.

We are issuing this advisory regarding the prevailing haze condition in our area. Haze may contain fine particles that can affect breathing and overall health — especially for children, elders, pregnant women, and those with asthma or heart/lung conditions.

🛡️ ESSENTIAL SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:
✅ Reduce outdoor activities — stay indoors as much as possible
✅ Keep windows & doors closed; use air purifiers if available
✅ Wear a face mask (N95/KN95 best) when going outside
✅ Drink plenty of water — helps flush particles from your body
✅ Keep children & elderly indoors; avoid outdoor play
✅ Avoid strenuous exercise/work outdoors until air quality improves
✅ If you experience coughing, shortness of breath, chest pain, eye irritation, or dizziness — seek medical attention immediately

🚑 BASIC FIRST AID AND BASIC LIFE SUPPORT LECTURE

Under the leadership of Punong Barangay Rey V. Ototan and BDRRMC Co-Chair Kgwd. Nil Dwight Mitra, the Mandug Search and Rescue Action Team (MSRAT) served as the resource speaker during a lecture on Basic First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) for the TODA Kalasag Members of PS13, under the leadership of Station Commander Paul Michael Neffe.

Our Head, Hon. Nil Dwight Mitra, was also present during the activity, showing his continued support for community preparedness and emergency response initiatives.

The lecture aimed to strengthen the participants’ knowledge and skills in providing immediate assistance during emergencies while waiting for professional responders to arrive.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Ma’am Parojinog for the invitation and for giving MSRAT the opportunity to share lifesaving knowledge with the TODA Kalasag Members of PS13.

🚨MSRAT | Mandug Search and Rescue Action Team Response 🚨

Under the leadership of Punong Barangay Rey V. Ototan and BDRRMC Co-Chair Kgwd. Nil Dwight Mitra
On September 3, 2026, at 6:29 PM, the Mandug Search and Rescue Action Team (MSRAT) responded to a self-accident reported at Northtown, Barangay Tigatto.

Our Disaster Response Vehicle (DRV) was dispatched to provide immediate medical assistance to the patient. A 28-year-old male was assessed and subsequently endorsed to Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) for further medical evaluation and treatment.

MSRAT continues to respond not only within Barangay Mandug, but also extends its assistance to our neighboring barangays whenever emergency support is needed.

We remain committed to delivering fast, reliable, and dedicated emergency response service to our community and neighboring communities.
