"MGA MANGGAGAWA UNA SA KRISIS PERO HULI SA TULONG AT UMENTO."

-TUCP Partylist Representative Cong. Raymond Mendoza

Daghan ang nag-shift sa 4-day work week (10 hours per day) pero wala kabalo nga naay special rules sa holiday pay basta CWW. Take note sa inyong rights aron hayahay ang pahuway!
Ang angay ninyong hinumduman:

✅ Good Friday Pay: Bisan Rest Day nimo ang Friday sa CWW, entitled gihapon ka sa ₱100% pay (unworked) basta present ka karong Wednesday!

✅ Wednesday Rule: Ayaw pag-absent ugma, April 1st!

✅ No Diminution of Benefits: Ang pagbalhin sa CWW dili rason aron maminusan ang inyong madawat nga weekly take-home pay.

Maayong Dominggo sa tanan! ❤️🏙️

Deep in the drafting phase tonight. ✍️📜 As your Labor Sector Representative, I’m finalizing our formal submission to the Regional Development Council (RDC XI).

We aren't just identifying the problem; we are writing the "Government Bridge" strategy to help our workers and MSMEs survive the "Consumption Clog" across Region XI. From the math of daily commutes to the survival of our local shops—every detail matters. 🏗️📊

Why the focus? Because protocol matters. This proposal goes to the RDC Secretariat first thing tomorrow morning for official evaluation. We are making sure the voice of Labor has a serious, technical seat at the table. 🏛️🤝

TOMORROW MORNING: Once the official submission is confirmed, I’ll be opening our Digital Consultation. I want your expertise to help sharpen our arguments before we hit the committee rooms. 🗣️💻

In Part 1, Linda switched to coffee sticks to survive. It saved her a few pesos, but let’s look at where those pesos went—and where they didn't. 🧵✨

1. The Corporate Exit 💸✈️
When Linda buys that coffee stick from a global giant, her money leaves Davao instantly. It goes to a corporate headquarters hundreds of miles away. It doesn't help her neighbor; it doesn't stay in our local economy.

2. The Local Heartbreak: Meet Mr. Santos ☕🏚️
Santos—is worried. He noticed Linda stopped coming. Then the teacher. Then the bank teller from next door.

Tan-awa ang "Chain Reaction" ni Mr. Santos:

• The Job Loss: Because Linda stopped buying coffee, Mr. Santos can’t afford to hire the neighbor’s son as a barista anymore. 📉

• The Empty Tables: Because the barista lost his job, he can no longer buy lunch at the local restaurant where Linda’s family used to eat. 🍱🚫

• The Market Slump: Because the restaurant is empty, they stop buying vegetables from our local market vendors. 🥬📉

3. The MSME Paradox 🧐📊
We often hear: "Small businesses (MSMEs) can't afford the Wage Order." But look closer. MSMEs are the ones suffering the most when wages stay low. Why? Because their customers are the "Lindas" of the world.

If the workers in Region XI have no "extra" money after paying for power and water, they cannot be customers. A business with no customers is a business that dies. 🏚️🤫

The Wage Order is the Fuel, not the Burden. 🏗️🔥

When Linda gets that increase, she doesn't put it in an offshore account. She walks back into Mr. Santos’s cafe. She takes her kids back to the local restaurant.

The Wage Order is the only way to keep the "Local Circle" moving. Without it, we aren't just losing a cup of coffee; we are losing the heartbeat of our Davao community. ❤️🏙️

Dili nato gusto nga mahimong "Ghost Town" ang atong siyudad, 'di ba? 🏘️❓

Stay tuned for Part 3 tomorrow: The Fix — How a Fair Wage saves both the worker and the shop owner. 🤝📈

When Linda switched her mocha for a coffee stick, a chain reaction started in Davao. ☕🚫

Every centavo counts. Every cup matters.

The first thing to go was the morning coffee. ☕📈
Then the monthly massage. 💆❌
Now, even the family dinners are disappearing. 🍪❌

Meet Linda. At 35, she is a master of the "daily juggle". She works in a local firm she genuinely loves, and her husband navigates the Davao heat on his motorcycle everyday to provide for their two kids.

For years, they had a "rhythm". Dili man bongga ug luxurious nga kinabuhi, pero it was a life of dignity:

* The Morning Spark: before siya mag time-in sa opisina, muagi sa siya sa coffee shop duol sa kanto para mupalit ug Cafe Mocha. It was 10 minutes of peace before the phones started ringing.

Then came the hardest cut: Ang Morning Mocha.

Wala kabalo si Linda nga kadtong nag stop na siya ug palit ug Mocha, she started a chain reaction that would eventually reach her own front door.

Atangi ang Part 2 ugma: The Missing Mocha & The Ghost Town. ☕📈
